Apart from Whitney, Morty and Claire the first few times that I played; not so much. The more Pokemon one plays the less challenging the gyms are because you learn strategy, the value of level grinding, saving pre-battle and to bring items.

I found Morty the perfect grinding spot for mah Togee. All his Pokemon have barren movepool and nothing to hurt me will I spam metronome and Elixir... Boom he's done.

    Btw guys I haz question
What starter do you think is the hardest?
Never tried Chikorita, and probably never will. It's weak to Falkner, Bugsy, walled by Morty (and his gang of Gas), walled by Jasmine, weak to Pryce and walled by Claire. It isn't exactly the best in Johto... It only has two gyms which doesn't onslaught come in with type advantage: Whitney and Chuck. whitney still kills it with hax rollout anyways

I never found the other starters any easier. totadile is hard to raise and learns i think rage before water gun, which is a reason i never pick him
And cyndaquil doesn't learn ember til level 12! Its usless till then. and its retarded training it there cause at the beginning, the only attack is tackle plus it gains little exp after level 8

One thing you love about Johto: I love the design of the region, all the city designs, the pokemon introduced in Johto, and how flexible it is plot wise. For example at Ecruteak you can go left or right and that kind of stuff

It's when you use the pokegear to call the Bird Keeper at the southernmost point of the route to the Pokemon League (this guy is the best training method pre-E4).

As in grinding team up? That means you do some training in the wild to level up.

Yeah, Chikorita is difficult to use in Johto, because of a poor movepool in addition to the Gyms; but life gets better in Kanto as there are more water routes and the Gym typings are more in your favor.

Does anyone have any idea how Ruin of Alphs -> Sinjoh Ruins? Is Sinjoh Ruins below Ruins of Alphs? I need material for my fanfic. And why is it snowing?

    Thanks

I'm not really sure about this, but here's a picture I found of it's location
    http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/e/..._Ruins_Map.png

Here's what it said on Bulbapedia:
As revealed by the Sinnoh Champion Cynthia and a Hiker in the same cabin, the Sinjoh Ruins are the remains of a temple created hundreds of years ago by two groups of humans: one who had come from Sinnoh, and another who had hailed from Johto, or specifically the Ruins of Alph. Because of this, the ruins contain elements of both the Spear Pillar and the Ruins of Alph, as a sign of the blending of the two cultures. It is unknown what brought the two clans together to build a temple for Arceus, but this probably has to do with the underlying relationship between Arceus and the Unown.

    Hope this helps

p.s sorry I haven't been on for while, I'll update things now

I like Pokeathlon... Too bad it only appeared for a gen. I say all the proceeding mini games are kinda bad. I don't get Pokemon musical... But I might try Pokewoods on my bw2 today

Though I'm not always good in Pokeathlon... I use to spam it a lot for Dawn Stone for Togekiss, then I realized I need to finish E4 before getting from the shop. I literally raged for 5 seconds, then just traded from another game.

Why does that Togekiss MUST have Hustle... -,-

Favorite Pokemon from Johto: I have so many! Marill, Azumarill, Mareep, Ampharos, Miltank, Furret, etc. But just one? It would have to be Marill.
One thing you love about Johto: Just one thing I love about Johto would probably be the Pokémon. I mean, in almost every reason there has always been one or more Pokémon I really don't like. But, whenever I think of Johto, I have never been able to think of some Johto Pokémon that I don't like. But the design of the towns, cities, landscapes, I also love.

I'd guess it means repeatedly calling that Flying-type trainer and then rebattling him/her, increasing your team's strength each time. The Bird Keeper is the strongest character you can have a rematch with prior to the E4, I'm guessing.
