Default "GRASS" the worst starter and possibly type??

Sorry if this have been made before, but I would really appreciate an answer.

"GRASS" is weak to 5 types!!!! ( Never understood why to POISON". It's resisted by 7 types and effective against only 3. ( And we all know the gimmick of water types using ice beam and electric types using signal beam).
So, do u think that Grass is dwarfed by the other starters? or by the other types as well? what changes do u think the pokechart should undergo in order to balance grass? or do u think it is already usable and on bar with water and fire? Thanks

But the grass is perfectly fine. Except for being weak to poison which I don't get.

I mean, the weaknesses and strengths of grass are fine. I just learned why grass is weak to poison.

Is it because poison will like wear your grass out or burn it?

Poison sucks the nutrient out of the plant and acts like a virus I believe :P

I don't think grass is the worst although it certainly isn't the best either.

Poison is the worst type. It's only good against GRASS. At least grass beats 3 types.

And some Grass Types can inflict Paralysis and Sleep on top of Poison.

Grass is the only type weak to Poison. Steel is immune to Poison and nearly every other type resists it, so to me Poison is perhaps the weakest. That isn't to say that I don't like Poison, which I do.

And that does not mean nothing.
Poison is not a offensive type, it is a defensive one.

Fire is one of the best types, but it sucks defensively.
Steel is one of the best types, but yet it sucks offensively.
Ice is one of the best types, but it sucks defensively.

Every type has its uses and flaws.

The only types that are good in both ways are Dragon and Water, if I am not mistaken.

What's the problem with grass? It's not a bad type, and its starters are relatively good.

The one thing that annoys me is how many are grass/poison, thus an added weakness to psychic. But they stopped in the later gens so it's alright.

I think it is based on logic, think about putting some chemicals on your lawn and watch a dead spot form.

Poison generally isn't good for living organic things, except things like Rock which aren't effected.

I've never had a problem with Grass Pokemon. I got other Pokemon in my team to counter it's disadvantages. Every Pokemon has eachothers back on my team.

If poison is absorbed by plantlife, it will most likely wither and die... That's my theory as to why Poison is strong against Grass. But yes, Grass definitely needs balancing out...

Grass is more of support like Leech Seed while helping bring sun and sweep with its other coverage moves like Venasaur with access to Chlorophyll along with Growth and going mixed

good point, but grass is usually left off of my team in favor of another type. Water is a must have, I would say even more so than fire, especially with most fire starters changing type (water has always kept it true to type with the exception of Empoleon, which is actually pretty awesome type mix)

Well, the only really "strong" starter type is Water.

Both Grass and Fire are not that good.

And yet, one Grass Starter is OU (Venusaur), one fire starter is OU (Infernape), one fire starter is UBER (Blaziken) and not a single water type reached OU. (As far as I know, Swampert is currently the closes thing to an OU water starter.)

I must say, I am 110% against this action, I mean, quoting Wikipedia, '' A world of free knowledge will be lost ''. I say screw SOPA and PIPA, and all who agrees with me, sig this! We all detest the bill and will fight for the freedom of the Internet!

Swampert was OU until it's usefulness dropped it to UU but still a good mon regardless!
