It depends on the manga.
I like Naruto Shippuden subbed because it matches the shows theme, and I'm use to it 'been following it for a while'.

I switch back and forth. I bond better with characters and have an easier time getting into it if they're speaking a language I actually understand, but a lot of times the dub voices or weird translations can be downright annoying, causing me to pick subbed instead.
i honestly preffer to watch dubbed for the voices when i can. but most the times i think the english voices are pretty suckish and i watch subbed.
i will use these in wfi so beware!!!![]()

adding more as we speak.
I'm definitely more of a dubbed person. Unless the voices or the dub sucks beyond comparison. (4KIDS)
I prefer watching the original subbed version over the dub, as the dub has the (occasional) edit.
So...the dub supposedly strays away from the fact that it's about "ninja with magical powers?" Here I thought it was exactly the same as the Japanese version. Who knew?
Except there are these wonderful things called "DVDs" and "Blu-ray." They have all of those anime you like so much completely unedited (save for what...4Kids' stuff?).
Seriously, you people will find ANY excuse to complain about something. Anime's hardly even on TV anymore, so the whole "hur, it r edited!" excuse barely works anymore. Especially not when they're readily available for purchase uncut/unedited as well as viewing for free through licensed companies like FUNimation's own site.
I prefer to watch anime with english subtitles, I can tolerate watching english dubs and if I really like a series I'll check out the dub for the hell of it. I also really don't understand how people argue that they can't keep up with subtitles while they're subbed. I must have suerhuman reading fluency or something because that isn't a problem for me in the slightest.

Definatly subbed. Every time i see some dubbed anime i want to kill myself. It just sounds so wrong!
Note: Neither Japanese or English is my native language.
I dont realy mind...it realy depends
I tend to look for the dub, but if the anime is only in subs then i dont mind either way
i think it depends on how much you want to watch it.
like ive aways grown up with the pokemon dub and i absolutely adore the anime and i can't wait to watch it that much i even watch it in japanese now.
i still watch the dub aswell, just becuase i like the dub even if they changed the voice actors (points at pokemon internatoinal)
i dont watch pokemon as a sub (but only if the episode is epic, i might)
because i know i can watch the english one's
The only problem with subs though, people who might have dyslexia might not be able to read it.
i know this because i asked my cousin that she might like this anime, shugo chara! we put an episode on and she could'nt read the subs.
i suppose you do need to get used to it
but i dont mind either way though.

I think it depends on the anime, a lot of anime is better subbed but anime like wolfs rain have an amazing dub
Subbed. Do you know how dumb Naruto sounds with the English voices? Anyways it translates almost the same thing when subbed and with dubbed that seriously mess it up. I like reading anyways....
I usually watch subbed. I like One Piece(FUNimation), Naruto, and DBZ Kai dubbed, though I also watched them subbed sometimes. I also like subbed Pokemon.
For the majority of anime I like it subbed, but for anime like Pokemon, Digimon and such that I grew up with, I prefer either way. ^^ The reason I like subbed more is because I like the originality of it.

Dubbed series only sound "wrong" because you watched them subbed first and have become accustomed to the Japanese voices. It's common sense. But you clearly don't have any if your first impulse is to kill yourself after watching a dub.
Let's Survive.
Subbed. Most of the time series are ruined by there dub, so I stay with subbed. Most of the time the Japanese voice actors are much better. Though for some series I can't find subbed, so I have to watch it dubbed. (Fruits basket for example)
For the umpeenth time; most series' are hardly ruined by having a dub. Especially when there are very few that are edited to confirm to television standards these day. Hell, most of the time it's fansubs or weaboos that ruin things.

Yes, fans can be this stupid.
Also, Fruits Basket is completely available on FUNimation's site subbed and dubbed. Though there's nothing wrong with the dub of that series. In fact, it's actually better than the original in several aspects.
