That depends becuse sometimes when it is dubbed they live out some details or they might change the wordin and when it is in subtitles they most likely say what the original language is trying to say......

It really depends on my mood really. If I don't want to read, I'll watch it dubbed. If I'm not feeling lazy, I'll watch it subbed. I don't really see what's the problem with most dub (some I can understand) and I think people are just overreacting but that's just me.

Well, it just depends on what anime you are talking about. If it is Naruto then I want it Dub/Sub....they both sound good but subtitled sounds MUCH better, imo though...

I generally like the original version. Not that there's anything inheretently WRONG with the English version(for most anime, there's not), I just like seeing it with the original voices. For anime that I'm used to hearing in both languages(AKA "anime that I actually saw on TV first"), I'll watch both versions, but for most other anime I stick to the JP track. I have the skill needed to watch anime and read the subtitles without missing out on anything, might as well use it. But I do make sure to give the English track a go just to see what it sounds like.

Depends, if its badly dubbed I'll choose subs (Hoping there are some) but if its a tolerable dub, then I'll watch it in my own language.

I prefer subbed by a long shot. You can still hear the original voices, the characters' real voices. Dub voice actors simply don't seem to put as much effort into actually acting, and the voices are often completely wrong for the characters. For me, having to read subtitles doesn't take away from watching the action at all. I've gotten accustomed to watching both at once.

One of the other reasons for me that I prefer subs is because I'm used to it, where I live, there are mostly foreign films and those are subbed. Plus I never see the English dubs, 'cuz I live in the Netherlands and where I live dubs suck bigtime ._.'

Same goes for me. Plus, the Japanese versions have funny (often innappropriate) comments all the time that the US has decided are "2 bad 4 teh childrinz!!1one" so they edited them all out. >> *hackcoughwheeze4KIDSTVcoughcough*

You're not missing much, 'cause the English dubs all suck monkey butt, too. :(

That depends, there are things like sailor moon which is really cheasy in the dubbed version, but there are things like ranma1/2 which is actually good in english.

I'd prefer subbed or raw. That way, you can learn a language while watching. >_< That's just me. I can read rather fast, so subbed doesn't hurt me.

If there's only the dub, I'll take it anyway. I don't particularly hate any dubs anyway. In fact, most of the dubbed anime in my country are done by my fellow countrymen, so patriotism stops me from hating dubs. They're kinda good. ^_^

Lawl, this thread must go on.

There's no doubt subbed is better than dubbed.
But lack of english and skill.
Some scenes was cut due of awful red blood, nudity, gun and some crazy thing.

At first I said dubbed, but now that I started watching them in Japanese, I prefer to see them unedited.

Subbed anime by far. Half the dubbed anime voices are really bad. There has been a few good animes with good voice overs before so there not all bad, but overall subbed is much better.
