Hows the dub there in America? Here... I don't even think of watching it. They edited the names, they removed the "ro" from Keroro to become Kero, same with others, Tamama = Tama etc. They made Tamama a Female to prevent the Yaoi, and edited his love to Keroro. And made the woman who's with Tamama (I don't remember her name) instead of loving Fuyuki, they made her want him to help her in a Alien Research or something like that. Lot of other things were changed, they even removed the second part of the beach contest.
Mahou Shoujou Megumi Magica
Good god, that's awful. I haven't seen the anime that you're talking about, but now I definitely won't in the dub [not to mention, I'm a light yaoi fan xD]
AnYwAy, sub/dub:: Let's talk Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters. Good GOD, that's awful. Seriously, 4Kids even took out words like "stop" and "caution" from service signs. Editing guns, changing the plotline [basically] of Yami no Yuugi's and Anzu's date to a "friend outing," when in all reality, it was just meant as a flat-out date! Anybody else pissed at 4Kids about anything??

With anime I like to watch both the dubbed and subbed, but I mostly like subbed. I have watched a lot of dubbed anime, but whenever I see the subbed version of it the sub seems better with it being the original version and with me being used to hearing Japanese. But throughout the years I have noticed that some anime is better dubbed and some anime is better subbed. Another thing that I like with the sub is that the opening and ending themes are not cut out.
No, they kept all the names and plots and such. Also, I'm Canadian.
Funimation's SGT. Frog dub cast puts on a stronger performance than the original Japanese cast however the Japanese track is more fitting. Then there are Funimation's...script changes...oh Lord, don't get me started. Most of them are facepalms. They make references to American media here and there and try to make sentimental scenes and scenes with tension funny.
Examples:
Natsumi asking Giroro what's wrong when he loses his belt and he rambles on how he's fine and makes dumb comments here and there.
Then there's the scene when Mois meets the human she took the form of and when they're hiding behind the bushes, when Saburo opens his mouth, he rambles on about how he likes movie making, oh sorry, directing, he really likes directing.
"I just took a Muppet personality test...I'm Miss Piggy!" ~Kululu (dear God but at least it's not that bad)
Mois' tendency to speak Spanish...until she tells us that the fan's hated it and stops forever.
Spoiler:- the worst of them all:
If there's one dub change I do like (aside from the stronger cast), it's the Narrator's purpose. He's narrating a kids' show because he's suffering a gambling debt (oh, how I would love to introduce Mr. Narrator to Kaiji). A few are a good chuckle though (like how a Snuggie is the same thing as wearing your robe backwards). Either way, they stop doing this as frequently (now once every dozen episodes) at around episode 20. They also emphasize Tamama's "man crush" a lot more.
Overall, Funimation's dub adds variety, has a tad more zaniness and suits the target age (in North America) better. In the end, I prefer the dub to the sub (unless they make a reference to American culture). I'll save what I just typed up for a review (if I choose to do one).

Oh, Black Luster Soldier! No one must know of our forbidden love!
It's a great anime (my 3rd favourite) and is quite the laugh. Also, I might want to warn you that it's longer than Bleach...oh sorry, was longer than Bleach, the anime ended a few months back.
Also, don't question some of the character's bust sizes and skirts in contrast of the tone set (it's based off an ecchi manga).
Here's Funimation's official stream (episodes 1 to 51, dubbed and subbed).
Speaking of which...oh my God! Season 3 on the 26th of this month!

I can't speak for the original, as I've seen very little of it, but I would assume if it's anything like Crayon Shin-chan and or Super Milk-chan, it's likely due to the amount of Japanese references thrown around that wouldn't make sense in other regions, like certain Japanese celebrities and what not.
subbed it just seems better to me and cartoon network doesent dumb it down
I have no idea what I'm doing

I prefer subbed because it still holds to the original meaning of the creators. With dubbing comes attempts at localization which remove some of the context of a story.

If the anime is made in both I like to watch it dubbed first so I have some fun watching it, then maybe watch it subbed. I don't really watch much anime that's not Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh, but even they have a huge difference watching the japanese version, especially YuGiOh. Some people won't watch subbed, which is really annoying, I've been trying to get a friend to watch the original YuGiOh (season zero or the shadow games or whatever).

Spoiler:- more:
358 episodes and 5 movies. If you watched 1 episode (if a movie were to count as an episode) per day, you'd finish in a year. As for the manga, it's still going.
The changes make perfect sense and I accept them. The problem I have is that they don't suit the tone. Like I mentioned before, I prefer the dub to the sub.

Subbed, I really like the japanese accent and I also learn some new vocabulary once in a while xD. Have any of you watched a subbed anime and then watch it dubbed? it feels so weird.
That "weirdness" varies between different dubs and how much they edit, and one can feel it going from a dub to a sub. If you're used to it one way, watching a part of the show in another language will provide some type of weirdness/awkwardness, but not necessarily that much. It depends on how different the second watched version is.

STILL REJECTING PMs. SORRY. (No offense to anyone.)
The weirdness could be extremely great at first. I remember hating the voices in the Clannad dub at first after watching it in Japanese for so long, but after a while they grew into their roles and improved on their acting. They started to sound great when it really mattered, which is amazing for a low budget dub. I still prefer the original for obvious reasons, but the dub no longer sounds all that weird to me anymore.
