Autism, however....I'm not sure if it's aspergers officially, but I'm definitely an autistic. I did go to a psychologist for that one, and I was apparently so obviously autistic to him that I the meeting even ended about half an hour before it was supposed to.
It wasn't Aspergers if it was that obvious. Aspergers is one of the ghost spectrum classifications known as "high functioning."

I have depressive phases, some that are the opposite, and some where I just don't care. I bury it all in as much video games as I am allowed (and any time I can find to work around limitations). Basically, its something to focus on that keeps me from thinking thoughts of sadness or regret, and something where I can achieve anything, regardless of how my life is going. I'm really more attached to my computational devices than I am to anything else.

It doesn't help that I'm sort of an outcast, but that's mostly my own fault due to the above. I also tend to forget everything and have trouble focusing on something with outside noise, but I don't really mind those since they keep me from doing work (I dislike very much any sort of work).
From what you have said, I'm thinking you might have asbergers. But I'm not a doctor. Try going to a doctor and get yourself checkd. That's just my opinion.

ADHD is a neurobehavioral disorder, so yeah, it counts.

I've been diagnosed with asperger's syndrome, dysthymia (depression), generalized anxiety disorder, and gender identity disorder over the years. The anxiety is the worst to live with, personally- it's hard to do anything without worrying about every possible outcome and overthinking things and then worrying about overthinking things, and trying not to have a panic attack if something stressful happens... it's torture. I can't take any medication for anything because my body reacts negatively to any kind of medication I've tried due to my sensitivities. It's a struggle just to live day to day, and sometimes it doesn't feel worth it.

I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome when I was in year 8, and recently my dad came visiting from Finland and his behaviour has led mum to believe he may have it (albeit undiagnosed) as well. I've always found it hard and awkward to socialise and adjust to new things, but other than that I feel like I'm fine. A hermit, but fine.

    I'm thinking of starting a league...Any advice?

I don't think I'm diagnosed with anything... however, I've had a mild case of depression during middle school (it did get severe at one point when I tried to choke myself). At the same time, being the way I am and how my mind functions personally since I was young, I honestly feel like I've had some form of OCD for awhile, though I never bothered to ask my parents or my doctor about it.

Noticing how Asperger's is commonly mentioned here... If knowledge serves, I'm aware that Asperger's can affect social skills, and the person diagnosed is also known to be highly intelligent, yet can sometimes be clumsy. I also read somewhere that people with AS lack the ability to feel emotion, but I do not believe that in some cases. Otherwise, AS in general, is vaguely defined. Least, that's how I think about it.

Oh, and something interesting I found out. While I was randomly browsing on Bulbapedia one time, I never knew Satoshi Tajiri was diagnosed with AS.

Depression, Aspergers's, and maybe ADHD. A wonderful trifecta! Despite that, I'm mostly okay.

I know how you feel I got almost all of that except I have ADD but lately it seems like I have ADHD, I feel like it all gets in the way of life having these, not sure why though

    Hey all.

I have a huge phobia of being touched - its really awkward when I have to be in a crowd, I have to shut myself off mentally.

I also have schizophrenia. Suffer from heavy auditory hallucinations. Get some really bad days, some better ones - medicine helps to an extent but y'know.

And Aspergers Syndrome- it tends to make my schizophernia feel even worse and vice versa....

Unless antisocialism is a mental illness, then no.

I have a disorder that only have of people trained in Psychology think is real! I've had at least four different people tell me that they noticed it / believe that I have it. Hur hur...

I would disclose, but I don't really want to start a debate or get bashed. :c

Not sure if people are just jumping to conclusions, or this thread is amassing the largest collection of people with legitimate mental illness outside of a psych ward...

Hey... Just because someone has a mental illness doesn't mean that they belong in a psych ward!

1 of my old jobs was sadly a guard on a bus which transported the mentally ill & mentally insane to their destinations...........mainly the schools that accepted these people into their district.

When I was younger about 12 or 13 I'd share a bus with 2 mentally insane teens & they had quite the rep in the bus company that had to transport these demons from the depths.

Experience makes all the difference in jobs like that.

I didn't say they belonged in a psych ward, i'm just saying there seems to be an awful lot of people claiming to have some form of mental disorder which is a bit sketchy if they're self-diagnosed.
