I prefer gengar over zam but he does pack a punch ( and I'm not talking about zombies here) he has a decent sp atk movepool but it could be better(thus my choice for gengar) but from what he can learn he's capable of destroying a team that he can outspeed.speaking of, he also has increadable speed 372 maxed. All in all, alakazam earned a spot on the pokes of interest list

Moveset
- Substitute
- Disable
- Hidden Power Fire
- Shadow Ball

So setup Substitute stop Pursuit users and anything that may stop pulling off Disable. Disable is good because it can pick off walls and Sweepers (if they have two coverage moves such as a Garchomp with dragon dance and substitute) I'd go with HP fire because it can deal more damage to Skarmory and Jirachi, then of course Shadow Ball for STAB and Espeon etc. If you have the Black Sudge then if you get Tricked the enemy will keep taking damage (and if you end up with a choice scarf or specs then it's still good for you)

So yeah I've given this set a go and it actually functions really well if you time it correctly!

@topic: In RU and under, I typically use Bastiodon for SR. In OU and above, I use Ferrothorn or Aggron.
