    Default Pokemon Black Team Help

So I'm getting Pokemon Black finally...tomorrow.
So I have a few questions since I'm going to do something I have never done before and try to create an awesome team to beat my friends, who are insane at Pokemon.

    1) Should I start building my team when I start playing, or wait until I complete the story line?
2)What starter should I choose for this team?
    3) What Pokemon types should I have represented? (specific Pokemon would be helpful)
    4) How should I EV train my Pokemon?
5)How should I fight with my Pokemon team?

Thanks for all of the help, I know I am a Pokemon noob but I want to make a kickass competitive team.

We can't rate your team if you don't give us an idea of who you want to use. Read the rules.

Sorry, I'm new to this forum and didn't see them.
As far as who I want to use, I don't care too much.
I don't know the Unova region at all, so I can't really choose one.
If you can still help me out I'd appreciate it.

Out of the Pokemon i know of, how about I try building a team around Dragonite? He seems cool

In the rules it says a RMT has to have at least three Pokemon to rate. Actually I'm suprised a Mod hasn't closed this yet. Look through a Pokedex of the Unova Region. You could look on here or another site I use is www.pokemondb.com. I know you can't get a Dragonite until post-game. In Black and White you can only catch Unova Pokemon in the pre-game.
