[Puffle 754]

Welcome to PokeGyms, a Pokemon Wi-Fi battling league. Here, you can try your skill at several gym leaders in an attempt to earn their badge, test your strength agents the elite four, attempt to claim a gym of your own, earn prizes is various battle missions, and much more.
As far as rules go, the normal rules for Srerbii make up most the main rules. Under each section, you can find more detailed rules for gym battles.

History: PokeGyms was once the most popular league on Serebii. However, after a series of events that I will not get into as of now, PokeGyms began to go undated for a long period of time, and, unfortunately, PokeGyms eventually came down. I refuse to let that happen again, and I hope to keep PokeGyms updated! I had re-opened the league about a year ago, but my internet became shot for a very long while, and by the time I got it back, the league had been closed. I don't foresee this happening again, but to absolutely ensure that the league will live on, I will be hiring a co-owner or two to make sure if I can't be here, that the league will not again fade into the darkness. And so, I give you my word on all that is radiant, and is named Porygon that I will never again fade into the shade of inactivity.

GYM INFO:

Gym teams have a specific ratio that they should be set up in. That ratio is:

4 Pokemon of the gym type
1 Pokemon that doesn’t have to be the gym type, but is related to the type in some way (A steel team may have a Tyranitar to set up sand, or a grass team may have Politoad to set up rain to resist fire) You can be creative here, just so long as it makes some sense. You could also just have another Pokemon of the gym type if you want
1 Freebee! Go crazy!

(Some future gyms may now follow this pattern, but for now, all of them do)

A gym team and a challenger tem is different, and a gym leader can still battle other gyms with another registered team other than their gym team.

As of now, it is one gym per person, but this may change depending on demand.

A gym leader may decide what kind of battle their gym uses.

Choices are:
Single
Double
Triple
Rotation

As of now, I don’t support wonder launcher battles, but if you really want that as a rule in your gym, just let me know.

How to take over a gym

If all gyms are taken, or the one you want just got snatched away, you can try to take it over! How you do so is simple. You must specifically request a gym title match to the gym’s owner. To do this, you must have their badge, and at least 1 other badge (This number may change over time). You must battle their gym team with the team you choose to use as your gym team should you become victorious. The already serving gym leader, however, may switch out one of their pokemon for a freebee. If the challenger loses, they may not challenge the leader again for 1 week, or until they earn a new badge, whichever is sooner.If the leader loses, however, the challenger wins the gym title, and is then the new gym leader. New leaders receive 1 week immunity to gym title challenges, although they can still accept them, they don’t have to that first week.

For the moment, only one gym cannot be overthrown, the Normal Gym (Mine). This is only for a short while so I can test a few things out.

A few rules for gym leaders:

*If you know you will be gone for a while, be sure to let me know.
*Long time inactive leaders without previous consent will be removed, but this is only after a long while of inactivity (Not entirely sure on the deadline, overall, just don't fall TOO inactive)
*Gym leaders best accept all battle and gym title battle requests when possible, but they may put such off if they are too busy at the moment.
*Gym teams can switch their team up, just let me know to prevent confusion.

Here are the rules for a gym challenger...

1. Your nickname/pokemons nicknames CANNOT be offensive in any way!!
2. If you use voice chat NO BAD LANGUAGE!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
3. No hacked pokemon
4. No duplicates in pokemon on a team ( Nidoran♂ & Nidoran♀ do not count for this rule. You may have both on your team)
5. Don't battle with Uber pokemon.
6. You cannot just use a team of pokemon that are good against the gym type. In the near future, challengers will be asked to register a team to use for the league (All gym/E4 battles) (This rule is up for debate!)
7. HAVE FUN!!!

What is a challenger team?

A challenger team is a team you use to battle gym leaders with. Although you are free to change it up as you want, you may not purposely edit your team to have a sufficient advantage over another gym.

I MAY require people to pre-register teams upon joining, but I haven’t decided on this yet. Feel free to voice your input on this.

Raffles!

Every so often, I will hold a raffle, in which the winner(s) will receive a prize! Such a prize may be a rare egg move Pokemon, an event, a DWF, perhaps even a shiny may find its way into the raffle!

To get entered, merely earn a badge within the time between raffles! Anyone who has all badges, or is a gym leader (E4, and Champion are also counted), will be entered automatically! So get out there, and show us what you’re made of!

Quite sorry for the incoveniance. I had the requirements for a gym team typed out, but I guess I forgot to put them in the OP. I'm using my iPad to type right now, but I will be sure to get the team info up first thing in the mourning!

I want to start off by apologizing to everyone for my lack of activity. Exams are next week, and I swear the last 2 weeks have been nothing but studying and projects >_< No me gusta!

Reading the recent replys, something came to my attention that I forgot to adress. The league was oridginaly supposed to be open for challengers, and otherwise "Open" as soon as it was posted. I am just now relizing that I forgot to point that out... sorry about that... -_-

But that does mean that the league is officially open!
