Personality: Mayuko, although she may not look like it at first glance, is a girl who's been trained to like variety. This can be shown in her multiple clothing combinations and the different appearances of her lunchboxes at school. It's the most obvious, though, in her taste of food. Mayuko is pretty much an anything-goes girl when it comes to food, as long as it's actually edible, with her only exception being the more disgusting-looking foods such as bug cuisine. She's a food fan, no doubt, following in her father's footsteps, and always eats everything she's packed for lunch. She's learning how to cook although only one creation she had tasted nice, and is particularly interested in food science. Her favorite food, however, will forever be
herb-crusted rib roast. She has yet to taste anything as good (in her opinion) as that.
From her mother Mayuko inherited a desire for traveling and is quite the history fan. She can easily remember key dates in any important events, like when a certain battle was fought in a certain war. While her memory is great here, it's even better when you combine it with food; the foodie that she is, she's bound to have researched a bunch of her favorites. She could tell you how chiffon cake was made, when people thought of satsuma soup... the list goes on and she's always happy to ramble on to anyone willing to listen to her about the foods she knows. She's great at history, but everywhere else, Mayuko basically does average enough. She's worst at art; she literally cannot draw to save her life. Her drawings are as complex as a stick figure near a square and triangle house, although she does know fitting color schemes.
Outside of her foodie personality, Mayuko enjoys reading a good book to pass the time. Around others, she likes to be a laid-back, caring, and relaxed type of person with an average sense of humor. She can also be lazy sometimes, something she hasn't been bothered to fix yet. Mayuko can get a little carried away when talking about her interests, as she sometimes rambles on and on enough to make the person lose interest in keeping their conversation going. She is also a nosy person who often tries to get to the bottom of any incidents she hears about. Her favorite color is red and this is obvious in her avatar's design.
History: Mayuko's mother, a retired history teacher, had always dreamed of traveling abroad for a one-month vacation. When she had finally gotten enough money and time to take the chance, she flew over to France and managed to do quite a bit of sightseeing. In doing so, she met Mayuko's father, an aspiring gourmet, through a mishap at a restaurant where they were assigned to the same table. After their dinner together, the two grew very close - close enough that when Mayuko's mom went back to Japan, they stayed in touch. Mayuko's father eventually surprised her by coming to Japan at the most unpredictable time, and the two got married; years later, Mayuko was born.
Right off the bat, her parents were determined to make her like what they liked. At a young age, Mayuko was shown the wonders of many different kinds of foods by her dad, and learned to tolerate a number of varieties. Her mother made sure that even if Mayuko couldn't understand any other subject, she would always remember history facts no matter what. At school, Mayuko made a name for herself as the girl to go to when it came to food reccomendations, and often spent most of the lunch break eating all of her food.
She turned out to be intelligent enough to pass but not be outstanding enough to shine. That was just the way Mayuko liked it, and when she and her best friend Arisa enrolled to the academy, she got into Class S, while Arisa, the smart girl that she was, got into Class A. Mayuko was confused as she had never heard of the class before, but just as she was advised to not knock food before she tried it, she decided to see what the class was all about.
Appearance: If you compare Mayuko to her parents side-by-side, ninety-nine percent of people would say she looks a lot more like her mother. She has short black hair, often clean and sleek from good care, and slightly pale skin. Her eyes are narrow and a startling blue, one of the only traits inherited from her father. She can often be seen with a small grin on her face. Mayuko stands at about 5'5" - a short height for her age, as much as she dislikes to admit it. It's not too noticable, but Mayuko has a strong body. Due to her tendency to eat a lot every day, she is on the chubby side by a slight amount, but she's wise enough to check her weight every now and then and lose the extra pounds.
Like everyone else at Fumizuki Academy, Mayuko wears the required outfit when she's at school, the usual gold-trimmed jacket and red skirt. In the winter she wears warm, white leggings to keep from getting cold, and in the summer she rolls up the sleeves of her jacket. She is often seen bringing a lunchbox with varying designs to school, usually full of her favorite types of food or whatever she's trying out at the moment.
Out of school, however, Mayuko wears several different outfits, but one thing is almost always true; whatever Mayuko wears will have something red in it. Her usual attire is a skirt and t-shirt combination of varying combinations, kneesocks, and shoes that are actually one size bigger than her real size. Her favorite outfit, though, is a brown t-shirt a little too big for her, a scarlet pencil skirt, and the kneesocks and shoes combo mentioned previously. When winter comes, Mayuko wears a puffy coffee-colored jacket that she managed to get when she visited France a couple of years ago.

Avatar Appearance: Mayuko's avatar is a much sharper-dressed version of herself, standing at 1'4". As expected, her avatar is dressed in warm colors, especially red. Her animal-like features are mainly her bunny ears and tail, the latter of which is hidden behind her coat. Mayuko's avatar flaunts a cream and maroon military dress, reaching just past her knees. Over the dress is a much more scarlet coat with large collars and cufflinks. Her socks are - you guessed it - red, with a golden stripe circling the top of each sock, while her shoes are ordinary low-top sneakers for maximum comfort.
Mayuko's weapon of choice is a simple, old-fashioned rapier sword that looks like it was pulled out of a movie like the Three Musketeers. The entire weapon is made out of silver. It comes with a long, thin, and sharp blade reaching up to her avatar's shoulders, and the hilt has an intricate pattern of swirls and rings extending from the sword's crosspiece. It isn't really a weapon with much special effects. In fact, the only special effect to it is that it's very lightweight, and thus easy to swing multiple times; the chances of anyone escaping a combination attack with this sword are very slim.
