I don't think it is; you are just recognizing an aspect of them. Same as hair/eye color, clothes, etc.

Read this to learn about my journey into the strange realm of pony hypnosis and watch me warp my own mind. Fun! :3
I believe that "black" is actually the politically correct way of referring to African Americans now. Now, personally, if I must say it at all, I do prefer to use African American.

Depends on what kind of "black" guy I guess, varies with everyone, just like how you have a car I don't, you have charter TV I have near basic table and it doesbt make a difference, but yeah I solely think this varies with every person

95% of people would cry if they saw Justin Bieber about to jump into a tank of hungry sharks. If you are in the 5% who would climb up and push him in, then copy and paste this in your sig. (Started by Bekidding)
calling a black guy "black" is just like calling an asian "asian".
there is nothing stereotypical about it unless you put "'s are smart" at the end of it.
And you questioned my sanity. Lesser Known Anime Facebook Page

I wouldn't be offended if I was in a group of non-whites and someone said "that white girl over there". It doesn't make sense to be offended about it.
No it isnt. Racism is defined as the belief that all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, esp. so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.
"Did you see that black guy yesterday?" is not a form of racism.
"Did you see that black guy stealing those shoes? I can't believe they're allowed to go to school and vote with us Anglo-Saxon superiors." is racism.
Not to me. People tend to flip out when someone mentions black in conversation just because. They're the true racist ones because they clearly see something wrong with the mentioning of black people. It's like the time when Pokémon Black and Pokémon White came out and people said the titles were racist.
Technically, it's not, as long as your not saying anything negative about their race.
But I call black people African-American, just in case they take offense by being reffered to as a "black guy".

If you see this sig in the debate forum, you're probably doing something wrong.
Depends on how you use it. You could call it racist if you're calling him "a black guy" and it has no bearing on what you have to say, but if you are describing someone as "a black guy" to give a description so it's easier to find the person, for example, it's obviously not racist.
