Im planning to have differnet teams for all the leader tournaments (with pokemon from there regions of course, all of them transferred from another game). Clair has been giving me loads of trouble, those darn dragons, if you wanna know my team it is Meganium, Houndoom and Lanturn. Is that good for her?

Use a Starmie. Starmie will be faster than her dragons which is great and Ice Beam will 1KO them esp. with Choice Specs on.

While not the best team per say~

If challenging the Champion tournament I'd recommend anything with a fast and strong Ice move, there are quite a few Dragons you will be facing, many have a x4 weakness to Ice. Ground is another good attacking type to pack, it fell's Red's legendary Pikachu in one shot, and will be helpful against Steven too, finally a powerful Electric move, it handles Wallace and Blue's ace pokemon easily enough. Bring a few grass and fighting moves to round out coverage and you should be set.

Personally I struggle the most with Steven, but that's what I get for running with Staraptor, Swampert and Jolteon...

Hum, except for Fighting those are the moves packed in my team that I use.

Of course, before I get to Champions, I first need to beat the World Leaders (which is awful).

Seriously, I hate World Leaders, Johot and Sinnoh were impossible, but this is just evil.

I always end up getting paired with Volkner, Candice, Pryce, or Cress in the first round, and when I get to the final round, easy pickings like Flannery or Byron hax-sweep me with their Flinching crits of faint.

I've been using a team of Terrakion, Latias, and Heatran for the PWT. Inconsistent, but very good when it works. Latias outspeeds most of the dragons and ohko's with draco meteor. If draco meteor misses though, usually game over for me. I don't really care that much though, because unlike subway, you only need to win 3 matches in a row, which I can usually do.

I blazed through the regional tournaments, but the World Leaders is giving me a bit of trouble actually. I've won only 7 of about 12 tournaments I've tried so far, it's surprisingly tough.

    ._.

I just use Flygon, Lanturn, and Chandelure (sometimes Driflbim replaces one of them), and lately, the only reason I lose in the finals is because of hax.

Flygon is speedier tha most things, and survives pretty much everything except Ice Type Moves, and OHKO's or 2HKOs (3HKOs against Jasmine's Steelix) literally everything unless it gets Ko'd first, in which case Lanturn gets rid of it.

Chandelure is just backup or if it's a Scizor, Forretress, or Leavanny ._.

So I defeated the Unova, Kanto, and Hoenn Leaders Touraments. I've always somehow managed to make to the finals in Johto and Sinnoh but whichever Gym Leader I am battling last always seems to be beat me easily. And it's usually not even the usual suspects like Clair, but folks like Falkner, which just annoys me even more. I'm still playing around with teams. It's been really successful with weather teams. I suppose more EV training and is the only answer. Thank goodness for the Join Avenue though.

I got through the Unova, Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh tournaments pretty quickly using Ampharos, Flygon, Arcanine and Metagross. The World Leaders tournament is a major struggle though. I always get kicked out in the finals.

    Scizor, Gliscor, Jolteon? Thoughts?

Gliscor will know Ice Fang. To deal with dragons.

Really, unless Gliscor ends up knowing Fire Fang and you somehow get a Water and Dark/Ghost Move on there you're going to have a tough time trying to get through the Sinnoh Tournamnet.

With what you have it should be simple to beat Steven, Red, and Lance without much trouble in Champions.

Look out for Wallace though, as most of his Pokémon know Ground and Ice Type moves to make quick work of Gliscor and Jolteon.

I finally beat the Champions tournament 2 days ago. Was surprised at how easy Double battles are with my setup. My tournament was R1: Blue R2: Cynthia R3: Red which was a pretty hard draw in my opinion. My doubles team consisted of Technician Breloom w/ Life Orb, Tyranitar w/ Chople Berry, Excadrill w/ Focus Sash, Starmie w/ Choice Specs. Breloom destroys Wallace and to a lesser extent steven, while excadrill mows down pretty much anything with excessive bulk after a swords dance. Tyranitar was my weak link with the abundance of earthquake/fighting type move users (Pikachu brick breaking was a surprise). Cynthia isn't too bad if you bring a strong Sp. Attack Pokemon with an ice move. Lance is in the middle of the road because pretty much all of his dragons are Speed/attack perfect ev'd and it sucks when he opens up with Focus Sash Dragonite.

P.S. I'm nearly done with Type Expert tournaments, but i'm having trouble with these in particular (Grass, Poison). Any help/team suggestions would be appreciated. Working on Grass atm and from what i've read most people have trouble with the same thing (Gardenia's damn Roserade).

The only things that can stop you "potentially" are Lucario, and Spiritomb. But you're naturally faster than Spiritomb, and after Shell Smash faster than Lucario. Be forewarned if Lucario goes or CC (Close Combat) it will break your Sash and you will need to switch out, because it has Extreme Speed.

Hahaha! The old man sure is tougher then he looks isn't he? That crazy dude totally thrashed me even though I had plenty of Pokémon on my team at the time that could have ended his run! And to think I was terrified of running into Juan or Drayden. I will always have respect for Pryce after that fateful battle.

PS: Sorry I had to delete the other post for the sake of space so I copied what I said originally onto here.
In the span of a few hours I have achieved what was once my life goal as a Pokémon trainer! I crushed and swept a competitive facility, in this case the PWT although I still have one minor tournament to complete I have largely completed that Battle Frontier wannabe in the span of a few hours. I feel like my life is complete. I have a slight feeling luck was on my side as I encountered no real hax at all and the only times I ever lost was because I failed to properly predict when and whom I should switch at a critical point in the battle, granted some of my victories particularly against Blue especially in the Champions tournament were more due to luck anyways. If you are wondering what team I used, I used Speed Boost Blaziken, MultiScale Dragonite, Air Balloon Excadrill, and 2 secret Pokémon which you may never know *snickers evilly*. Bit of a pity those Pokémon I spent months breeding and training were left to rot in Black instead after all that hard work...
Sorry about my crappy English... I was kind of in a hurry

With Clair you could also just try again not to battle her, since there's only a 1 in 3 chance of facing her.

With Morty, just pack a Pokémon with Crunch and decent bulk to step through Morty's pathetic Physical Defense.

Pryce's Mmoswine is easiest to beat if you have it in Rotation Battles, against a Water Type Pokémon and a Pokémon weak against Ice Types, he'll always use an Ice Type Move if your Weak Pokémon is on the field, so just rotate it to your Water Type and Surf/Scald tha that thing to death.

I think Winona has a grudge against me, just yesterday I faced her 4 times in a row, 3 of them is in the final round

And for whatever reason I kept getting Tate, Norman, and Roxanne as well.

Good thing my team has 2 Electric, 2 Rock, and 2 Fight moves.....with Absol taking down Tate easily.
And in one of the battles against Winona, her Altaria is her last Pokemon, and I use....my Absol with red HP to defeat it XD
It's so fun mocking the AI that way

So I'm making my way through the Type specialist Tournament--I want to earn at least the Master Medal before X and Y,, and I'm really beginning to hate the fact that I haven't EV trained my Pokemon. But I still managed to complete Fire, Grass, Electric, Ghost, Psychic, Flying, Bug. My fear really is Water and Dragon.

I have to learn how to format my team better to take on type specialists. The only one I cleared was the Dragon tourney because Moxie Salamence is too OP. Right now, I am focusing on taking the Dark, Fighting, and Flying tourneys. Scrafty seems like the natural counter for most Dark types because of STAB Drain Punch, but I need to find my All-Star for the Fighting and Flying tourneys.
