The magnemite thing is nice and all but I feel that GTS negotiations is more productive. You not only gain visitors but you are also actively engaging in trades. Sometimes I just like trading just for the trainer ID. Helps with improving your odds the raffle too.

Something I've noticed about GTS Negotiations is that the players you trade with won't always appear in your avenue for some reason, which makes me a little reluctant to use it with the sole intention of boosting the avenue.

I have gotten numerous Pokemon I needed, including many different starter Pokemon from past gens, though.

You could try arranging to meet a player who's set their preferred shop to a Nursery over GTS Negotiations.

This requires that they perform a GTS trade with you first, however.

You could try saving every time before checking on your Join Avenue.
I'm not 100% sure if this works, but it's worth giving a shot.

It wouldn't necessarily be manipulating the random number generator then, because that would require multiple attempts.

RNG manipulation would mean just using one attempt to get the desired result.

I've been trying to build up my Avenue- I think it's level 6 right now. I think right now I've got 1 of every shop, plus an extra Fitness shop. I need to decide what shops I want to get (like multiple shops from people in different games).

I've got a dude in there that looks like a hiker. When I talk to him, he'll say 'Muahaha', and when I'm leaving he'll say 'Gwahaha'. I wasn't even thinking it was a special greeting at first- I guess I expect hikers to say something like that. There's also a dude that says 'Oh no' when I talked to him and 'Kidding!' when I leave. It's funny when he recommends a shop- he's like 'That shop is "Oh no".'.

I noticed this as well. I traded with another Serebii user recently and wanted to have him open a shop, but he never showed up.

I assume you've beaten the E4?

To get the nursery you have to be at least rank 15.

No.

Player shops are determined either by their ID number or their favorite shop, while each of the fans has a particular shop they'll always open.

The fans that come in every day are the best shot you got. I was never able to get it with the other methods.

I find the Join Avenue to be my favorite feature introduced in Black and White 2. I only have six badges, yet I spend most of my time messing with my Avenue. I probably should beat the game first to have access to the daycare, haha. I've been curious about something though, because it's never happened to me. Can people ask for shops that you don't have available? Sorry if it's been asked before.

IIRC the shop we have to recommend to them can be SR-ed, so we can level up a certain shop that needs leveling more than the other shop.

Apparently the chance of being given a souvenir is also SR-able, as one of the visitor gave me a souvenir, when in my previous attempt none of them do that.

I have five shops at Join Avenue now and a new assistant. It's getting easier to level up Join Avenue now that the customers have more shops to visit. I could probably increase the level of Join Avenue even further if I spent some time using that Magnemite method that was mentioned before, but I currently don't have Wi-Fi, so I can't use the GTS.

Also, if my mart is rank 5, shouldn't it have everything mentioned in that slot on the main site's Join Avenue page? I don't have the medicine, full heal, revive, or repel sets at all.

What you have in you're Mart depends on what game you're playing.

I know that, but the shops' stocks hardly differ according to that page. Each shop at rank five should have those sets mine is missing.
