The Medal System

The problem with musicals is that they don't have the universal appeal that other sidequests do. PWT, the Battle Subway, and Black Skyscraper/White Treehollow still involve battling, so most people would still want that. Pokestar Studios' theme is movies, which is something that everyone can enjoy. But musicals don't really appeal to that many people, aside from theater buffs, not many people are really into that sort of thing. But we're getting off topic.

Anyway, anyone else think that it's kind of a waste to give you 10 medals for doing the same thing a different number of times?

i do. i have 70-75 but i can not figure out number 2 it says something about trainer tips but i can not find any? help

As for the Tips, iirc they can be found @ Routes 1-9, Routes 12-14, & Pinwheel Forest. That's where they were in BW1 @least

The funny thing is....my most recent is the one where you explore all of Unova xD damn you Unity Tower...anyways, wailord watcher was a *****, and I still havent found all grottos. by heart i know 1 on route 18, 2 on route 6, 1 on route 2, 2 on route 3, 1 in lostlorn forest, 1 in pinwheel forest, 1 on route 5 all thats by heart.

Does anyone know how to get the Ferris Wheel medal? I know it includes battling people then riding with them but i've been doing it for 2wks and i still havent got the medal.

I got loads of new medals recently and now I got 89 medals. Ones I can remember are the saving 100 times, evolving 100 times, using Struggle, being a regular customer, and the one for guiding 100 different people in the avenue

There aren't really any tips as the story told to you is random, but just go to anville town and hear the story everyday.

From what me and my friends have found it doesn't appear to be random, we always have the same story each day. It seems to be somehow based on the date but there isn't any information out there about the connection.

Just hit 100 (well, 101 I guess :P) medals
I suppose when I get around to doing my dex I will get a whole pile then, plus I'll prob trade up my team from white to do some PWT-ing and mono-type E4 battle-age

The mono-type E4 ones are very fun to get. Not to mention you get Medals for Trading too so you kind of kill 2 birds with one stone if you have previous teams or if you're like me and use your Black1 version for breeding and training

You do get a heaps from the dex, but its a kinda slow progress :/.

ive got the one and only medal used a Gallade going for the Water type E4 battles now with kyogre, keldeo, kingdra, starmie, basculin and gyarados

I would like to congratulate myself and brag a little about achieving the Supreme Challenger medal! whoopwhoop!
Has taken me a some 200hrs to do it. I have a total of 261hrs played. I can't wait to sync with DreamWorld and see my new Favourite medal.

The hardest parts were
- choosing pokemon with great potential moves. Like evolving to a Stoutland and using heart scales to 'relearn' Ice/thunder/fire fang
- breeding for the right nature
- leveling to 100
- Leveling 2-3 pokemon to 100

The best help was using Serebii's B/W pokedex to figure out and choose the best/strongest pokemon. I stayed away from using TMs because I like keeping them forever but I did use the Heat Scale learner a lot at the PWT.
An event lev100 Arceus started to help out towards the end instead of leveling a 3rd pokemon to 100. I suggest having more than one fitness gym in join avenue. At lev10 you can jump a pokemons level by 10.

It was somewhat easy. Just very time consuming. In total I leveled about 20pokemon to 100 then had about 5 between 85-99.

Congrats on the sweet medal!! I was the same way with TMs in previous generations, but TMs are reusable this gen. They don't go away after you use them so you don't have to worry about that anymore. One of the best improvements that came with BW/BW2 in my opinion.

You ARE keeping them forever. They're reusable just like HMs ever since B/W. That's why you can buy the TMs only once.

To get the type based elite four medals, i've just been using as many pokemon as possible with the same dual-type. i got one and only using white kyurem, and then zapdos and thundurus got me electric and flying medals. i'm gonna use starmie and slowbro for water and psychic next. maybe the fire/fighting starters after that. Genesect/Scizor/Durant for steel and bug.

I got more medals. I got the Magikarp Award because of my DW Wailmer. I bred 10 eggs, got a friend registered on my pal pad, caught all bug types, and visited Unity Tower getting me my Around Unova medal. Now I got 94 medals

I like the medals system. But yeah, that pass 1000 people one is a bit over the top and I'm going to choose to it. xD Last time I checked I had 57 medals, I think.

Btw the signature isn't up to date, i just don't won't to change it before i'll get 200 medal, which should be very soon

Me too. I was quite disappointed with B1/W1 (well not really) when I caught all the Unova pokemon and deemed the game finished at 138hrs. I'm nearing 300hrs and I'm still planning to play at least another 300.
I love games that almost never end.

Most recently obtained the Dark and Dragon type master medals, as well as the One and Only medal.

The only Pokemon that posed any problems for my level 100 Hydreigon was Iris's Haxorus, thanks to the Focus Sash it has equipped.
