    In the U.S. 68.8% of adults are overweight or obese; 35.7% are obese. Pretty much what I said, but yeah its alarming regardless.

    I just think society and the government needs to stop trying to babysit everyone. Oh you shouldnt do this its bad, oh, these should be illegal theyre bad. Who cares, let people live their lives how they wish.

    Because it can cause a multitude problems for other people who are of no direct correlation/involvement but end up in some way or another being affected.

    That BMI deal tends to miscategorize people as overweight when the person isn't.

    People should exercise more and eat better.

    I agree, the BMI is a horrible system. You can have 200 pounds of fat or muscle, and you'd get the same BMI either way. It's about as accurate as telling how healthy you are as palmistry
