If you hate people who cheat.

I hate it when people cheat with an AR and manipulate the Pokemon games because the creators didn't intend you to mass trade off cloned shiny or legendary Pokemon and I feel like it takes away from the fun of the game. That is why to me shiny Pokemon are worth more as trophies when showed off in Pokemon Gen2 or Gen3 games. They are too easily cheated in the newer games. Anyone agree?!?

Look, I have a GameShark. But does that mean I hack pokemon stats, glitch the whole game, and make only shinies occur?
No.
A wise person once said "I don't mind people who hack TM's or Pokemon. What you have to worry about is people who hack stats.".
It seems like people just blame people who use gamesharks as an excuse, saying they hack stats, when all reality they probably only get Trade pokemon with Eggmoves and buy hacked (but obtainable) TM's.

A hacked or cloned shiny loses it's worth as a shiny, but "pure" shinies are still valuable, even in the later gens.

My opinion on hacking? It all depends on what they do I guess, but I'll never do it myself.

Poke'modifier? You mean the cheat that lets you choose which pokemon comes? Dude, you should LOVE those people, considering the pokemon only comes at minimum stats. At that, those trainers work harder, considering they have to put more EV's into their pokemon...
But I see your point for the other hacks.

I agree with shiny Mudkip with the first thing said. Cheating the game is not what the creators intended. However, whatever is legitimate is whatever is legitimate. I don't really have a problem with people that just cheat their own games, but I don't think anybody else should be subjected to this unfair practice via trade or battle.

I think cloning is fine, as long as it's only for competitive purposes. Cloning a shiny makes it's lose it's rarity, though.

Except that they can easily hack up a bunch of vitamins and wings. And if they don't play competitively, it doesn't even matter. They'll just get their EVs as they wipe out the elite four again or something.

Well if they're doing it, they're obviously trying to get more fun out of the game. Sure the fun will die out sooner or later but it's better than quitting because it's too hard.

But I do have one grudge in my heart for cheaters: One used a Master Ball in battle, and stole my Shiny Charizard. Yes, my Charizard was literally GONE. So later, I stole his game, traded back my precious Charizard (and others), and deleted his game. He'd stolen other's Pokemon, so he got what was coming to him.

Having been a former AR owner myself( gave it away to my friend so he could get better at pokemon, ive seen a bit of progress) i can see where you're coming from. Hacking stats onto pokemon is pretty joyless for me, how i used AR completely differs from most people, since my dog ate the disc that let me run the computer program.

I would find a specific pokemon on the GTS and trade back and forth until i found the right nature. After that, i would redo the the moves so i can have the moveset i wanted. Then, i would generate wild pokemon to EV against until i was done, then level it to 100 with rare candies and restart the process with another pokemon.

so really, it just served as a way to make ev training and finding certain pokemon a lot faster. Now that i can just download pokemon wirelessly from the internet i dont have to worry about AR anymore.

...What? It shouldnt be possible to pull out a master ball when youre versing a friend. It not exactly sure, but in all of the games ive played against someone the bag option is missing.also fling fails on pokeballs. for that to happen anyways, both games have to be seriously rigged to allow that event.

I agree with you. but even though you hate them there is nothing you can do. you can cheat in any situations or in anything.

However as for shinies, it is just for shiny appearance. there is nothing special with it (they don't have better ivs or special moves). Though yes it is intended to be super rare. And I am proud to say I have shinies in 2nd and 3rd gen as well by alot of effort. 4th gen well I do breed shiny for people. sometimes I breed for myself to gawk at my achievement in managing to hatch them shiny.

I do clone pokemon too. emerald glitch and diamond gts glitch. because of that I can get alot of cool pokemon from gts and complete my dex. of course when I stated that the shiny pokemon I am offering are cloned and is stated, people still trust me because I have stated it so.

But, ya I use Action Replay, but the most extreme cheats I use are ones to get Wonder Cards that I missed and for enhanced exp. I don't make stupid pokemon with 'No gaurd' and One hit K-O moves (I should though, it would be funny to see the QQ, lol).

@pseudoman, I've found codes that edit the nature and let you EV and IV edit, I don't use them, but I have them. Also I'm fairly good at Pokegen so I could just make a legit (looking) version of what I wanted, with the right Nature, IVs and EVs, make an AR code for it, pop AR in and bam, perfect party. It is a fun program to use.

Honestly if I was gonna have to try get legit pokes from every trade I made, I would never success. I just look if the stats and moves are ok. If they caught a Arceus in Pallet town, good for them but I don't really care that much about it.

An R4 isn't some magical device. You're still playing the actual game designed by Game Freak and it still follows the rules programmed into it.

The game does not allow items to even be used during battles against other people. It is impossible to steal Pokemon unless it is from a fan-made game.

It's not. It's possible on a game on an R4, and last time I checked those weren't classified as fan-made.

Of course it can. My friend has a R4i and has cheats enabled. I borrowed it and I caught some random trainer's Pokemon from Route 3.

I don't exactly hate people who use AR and such, but I do find it unfair. I mean they can get easy shinies, impossibly high stats, legendaries whenever they like, and they can catch trainers' pokemon. I mean it is their choice and that's fine with me that they choose to mess up their games, but when they take those pokemon to the GTS or wifi, that's when I draw the line. They know for a fact their pokemon are hacked and then they just turn around and try to give these "legendaries" to people who have no idea. Or they battle someone withtheir pokemon are hacked who have massive stats and just wipe the floor with everyone.
