Considering how these things would be nothing but gunk on the inside, probably the best idea that they don't. Yeah caterpillars and such rearrange their molecular structure.

SHELGON. with shell smash really? Salamence would become the strongest pokemon ever, it would be banned from Uber if it was possible. It wasn't given it for a reason.

To be fair, half of those pokemon either lose their shell upon evolving or would be just insanely powerful. Shell Smash Salamence and Tyranitar would just dominate BW2 wifi.

I think Blastoise didn't get it because it's arms and legs are rather stubby and the fact that it hides it's cannons inside the shell, but i do agree about Samurott not getting it.

I can't imagine Rayquaza using Gyro Ball at all but it gets it, on the other hand Registeel doesn't get it at all.

I wish you could see the actual sprite from the pokemon that is using Surf. I think its about time it happens.

That, and the contests in Gen III along with the ribbon system to provide some sort of unique reward to each Pokemon, Safari Zone, Game Corner, Pokéathlon, Secret Base (Underground) along with the collection of furniture and Pokedoll you could collect and decorate the bases with.

If they're good enough to be in the game, why not keep it that way? If they're not so good to begin with, why bother with changing features every generation if at the end of the day, they won't be improved and preserved much like how the main game's battle mechanics have evolved over the years?

Yes, this along with Square Enix's refusal to make versus 13 and a Kingdom Hearts game on the PS3 has caused me to lose almost all faith in Japanese game developers.

Yeah that was never going to happen, maybe in a spin-off game but not for the Core games.

There is nothing 'lucky' on having to catch 600+ Pokémon. I don't even have a Generation 3 Pokémon game anymore to help me on the task.

You don't need the Generation 3 games since the GTS and the 4th gens games will give you the missing pokémon.

As far I am aware you can still use them and walk with pokémon from the Johto remake.

There's also Valkria Chronicles 2 being on PSP and Valkyria Chronicles 3 not being localised to English, but I'll take your word that not all Japanese devs are plagued by inconcievable design decisions like Game Freak and Squeenix.
