The pokemon in White Forest (The grass disappears if you don't connect to another game or get to it in time? Seriously? SERIOUSLY? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?)

Johto's Safari zone (You have to log in every day for over a month with the correct number of items in a certain type of terrain to make a d*** Gible appear? You're kidding this time, right? RIGHT?!?!)

Easy/Challenge mode (The modes are game-specific? And you can't unlock them until you beat the game? And if you want to use them at the beginning you have to connect to games that already have them? Seriously? WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!?!?!)

The only thing I can think of is the pokemon following you thing.

That, and the contests in Gen III along with the ribbon system to provide some sort of unique reward to each Pokemon, Safari Zone, Game Corner, Pokéathlon, Secret Base (Underground) along with the collection of furniture and Pokedoll you could collect and decorate the bases with.

If they're good enough to be in the game, why not keep it that way? If they're not so good to begin with, why bother with changing features every generation if at the end of the day, they won't be improved and preserved much like how the main game's battle mechanics have evolved over the years?

When Serebii told us that there was an item to increase the odds of finding shinies, I was really happy... and then he told us that you needed to catch almost every freaking Pokémon to put your hands on the said item. Really, GF? To the hell with this 'catch 'em all' crap.

There is nothing 'lucky' on having to catch 600+ Pokémon. I don't even have a Generation 3 Pokémon game anymore to help me on the task.

Yes, this along with Square Enix's refusal to make versus 13 and a Kingdom Hearts game on the PS3 has caused me to lose almost all faith in Japanese game developers.

SHELGON. with shell smash really? Salamence would become the strongest pokemon ever, it would be banned from Uber if it was possible. It wasn't given it for a reason.

You don't need the Generation 3 games since the GTS and the 4th gens games will give you the missing pokémon.

As far I am aware you can still use them and walk with pokémon from the Johto remake.

I wanted to see a more sinister vampire bat species in the pokemon world, a dark/flying type, and maybe even a bedbug-based pokemon.
I can understand not putting the bat in Unova, but not making a bedbug for a region based off of NYC? COME ON NOW!

Shell Smash Blastoise doesn't look too bad compared to the others. It's like Cloyster withs it's defense, it's can be revenge killed a bit easier than being hit with Icicle Spear. But the rest, please no Shell Smash Salamence .___.

There's also Valkria Chronicles 2 being on PSP and Valkyria Chronicles 3 not being localised to English, but I'll take your word that not all Japanese devs are plagued by inconcievable design decisions like Game Freak and Squeenix.
