You have excellent taste. My Explorers of Time team is also made up of Torchic and Piplup, except mine is called Team Birdies. There's also Team Moxie on Explorers of Sky, with Vulpix and Riolu.

Unfortunately I don't remember my original PMD Blue team's name, but it consisted of Torchic and Treecko. (Oddly enough, I always seem to get Torchic the first time I take the personality quiz...)
