OK so I'm trying to breed for all shiny starters, but I'm not sure what my ratio is.

Currently what I'm working with:
Japanese shiny Ditto
A Squirtle that I bred and hatched on my US game from the Japanese Ditto above and a Japanese Blastoise
Shining Charm

So which is my ratio in obtaining a shiny:

I don't . . . wow

So I've been working on Feebas for a few days now. I'm sitting on the couch, watching Batman and hatching eggs. I put down the 3Ds to do something and when I come back I look at my party and there is a Feebas. I don't remember hatching it, but that happens. I go to the PC to release my 8 millionth Feebas when I instantly see that it's . . . purple!!!!!!!!!
I have no memory of it hatching and I almost released it!! Not kidding!
He is now a happy Bold Milotic named Herrington. He is capable of taking hits. I'm pumping up his HP and defense, since I gave him a ResTalk moveset

Ever since they were introduced in GS, I have never came across my own Shiny (Excluding the the predetermined ones).

Thanks! Whats the longest it has taken you to get a MM Shiny?

My longest was a shiny Eevee which took 4880 eggs (that was with normal masuda method odds). I'm currently at 1105 Solosis eggs hatched in B2 - and that's with MM+shiny charm odds...


As for my other hunts; I'm at 4100 SR for shiny Thundurus, 12,750 encounters in my White 2 badge quest, and 30,700 encounters in my Heart Gold badge quest @__@

I've also restarted the hunt I was doing for a shiny Chikorita in Crystal before B/W2 came out. I'm at just over 4550 SR. I'm assuming that you CAN get a shiny starter in G/S/C - I don't see why you wouldn't be able to...

I've just finished getting my team to level 60 so now il be starting hunt 6 on this BQ. Decided ill be hunting in burned tower since I don't really mind what I get. Even Rattata is ok since I haven't evolved my last one so this one could be evolved to Raticate. I guess I want either Zubat or Magmar the most but like I say, I'm not too fussed.

Ok so this is just crazy, but I finally got over the excitement of my first shiny and went back to hatching more Gastly.

3 eggs later I now have a second shiny gastly.

I do not have the shining charm.

So 23 eggs and 2 Shiny Gastly, and I'm not even hunting shiny, I just use a Japanese ditto to breed. T-T So much win.

Wow Brilliant luck there! Congratulations! I like shiny Gastly and Haunter but not so much Gengar. I tried to chain Gastly in 4th gen games but never had any luck and i've also tried MMing it on B/W but no luck with the MM. I admit i am a little jealous of the 2 with only 23 eggs.... I have been trying to MM for the CH and some others like the starters for a while now and have not had any luck and i have the charm so the odds are 1/1024... wish me luck everyone i hope i get a shiny soon.

The January International Challenge was fun with my Shiny team! I did so-so, and I would have done better had I actually succeeded in my Poliwag hunt. I'm putting that hunt on hold for now while I move toward completing the Unova Dex; that Oval Charm would cut the hatching time significantly! Well, 2 days ago, I only managed to do 100. Yesterday, I was planning on getting a fair amount done on my day off yesterday, but only ended up doing 100 because I got called in to work =.= I'm pretty much expecting a call today, because I mean, why not have 3/3 of my days off this week be turned into work days when 2 of them already have? Luck just doesn't seem to be on my side in any aspect >.<

Anyways, at least I've made it to 1,300 SRs without giving up much earlier. Only done 25 SRs today and it's already noon, but I did watch a TV show from last night while my parents were both out of the house, and I'll probably make some lunch soon and dessert...But then hopefully I'll have some solid SRing time.

Nice Dangertrout, sorry it wasn't a female ^_^ Congratulations on all recent shinies! Okay I have been absent a very long time, and I have also had my name changed from PocketMonstre to Cup of Tea. I do enjoy tea Well, I have not been shiny hunting recently. I've had exams and also an activity I am part of has just ended, giving me boundless free time! And what do I do when I have boundless free time? I shiny hunt! My last shiny was in September, when I SR'ed on SS for Cyndaquil, who is now a Typhlosion.

I plan to MM a series of gimmicky-pokemon, and pokemon "pairs". For the February hunt, in keeping with the Valentine's-themed hunt, I will be MM'ing. Haven't officially decided which target to go after yet, but I'm considering Skitty, Chatot, and Mawile.

Targets after that might be Minun & Plusle, Illumise & Volbeat. Well, I'm back to my hunting

Just realised how long it's been since I idividually congratulated everyone on their shinies... So I'll have to stick to just the ones gotten since my last post and try and not skip out next time, sorry! But congrats everyone anyways, including Pidjiken on Gastly, Markasdarkas on Rotom, Pxm1 on Woobat, RedCometCustom on Feebas, TheMaster327 on Skorupi, Pidjiken on another Gastly, TheMaster327 on Pelipper, Jonny7197 on Meowth and Dangertrout on Squirtle!

Anyways, today I reached a tough decision, but one that was needed... I'm not touching any of my Pokémon games, except Black 2, until I get at least 1,500 SR for Snivy, because this is getting dumb now, I'm just being lazy D:
Which means if I want to get that Stunky (and maybe other Pokémon) for the Community Hunt, I better hurry up with my SRing then!
The only thing that will change my mind is if my boyfriend gets his Shiny Charm, cause then we're racing at Virbank Complex, which I'll do on White 2. He wants a Magnemite and I really want a Growlithe. He's still about 100 Pokémon away though...

Anyways, hopefully this will motivate me. I'm in this strange place where I won't leave Aspertia City without that shiny Snivy, but I just don't want to pick up Black 2 and SR at the same time, which is bad. I will get a shiny starter! I'm hoping by depriving myself of my Platinum BQ, which I do really want to continue doing, it'll motivate me to SR Snivy, so I can get back to it.

Well White 2 is looking great so far and the hunt for Snivy is going well. But I have a few questions that I would love to have answered:

1. Are there any shiny checks on any of the pokemon in Black or White 2 and can gift pokemon in these games be shiny?

2. What is the best way to find/make a signature, because all of your's are looking awesome?
