This cracked me up! I could just imagine the scene, but it sounds awfully peculiar at the same time! Regardless, congratulations on getting that awesome shiny! I bet it looks 100 times better on a DS screen. Just promise that you'll be careful when you SR or hunt while driving again!

Haha yea it really was a sight to see, I was on the overpass driving over i75 when it appeared! And yes it does look amazing! That's how most shinies are, you don't get to see how great the colors are until you see it in person. Charmander is one of those types of shinies.
I promise that if I ever drive and shiny hunt again it will only be for a SR so I won't have to look down. The next SR I'll do is probably going to be kyurem.

Just after 1,158 Random Encounters, I finally encountered a Shiny that I could catch! Shiny Clefairy, Welcome! Moon stone I chose you!

Careful nature, female. I dislike female Pokémon on my team, don't know why. But I wasn't even thinking about adding her to my team. :3

Hey guys. I didn't do much SRing for Kyogre yesterday. I seem to be losing motivation at this point. I only did 285 SRs yesterday, bringing my total for 20 days worth of hunting to 13,285 SRs. This is just getting ridiculous. The only times I seem to have any motivation is when I am watching pokemon playthroughs on YouTube or if I am watching my fiance play CoD while hunting... I plan to do some today, but I don't know how much because the procrastinator in me is starting to freak out because all my papers and presentations are next week (last week of the semester of course) and I need to get rolling on them! Anyways, congrats on the shinies obtained yesterday and I hope to get this Kyogre soon!

Also, I know I can figure it out for myself, but since I haven't gotten Kyogre yet, I have time to get answers first. When I FINALLY get Kyogre, I was going to trade him over to my SS where my shiny Groudon has been PATIENTLY waiting for his counterpart to shine for me and get the Jade Orb. My question is is that once I get the Jade Orb on one game, can I trade them over to my HG and get the Jade Orb there and dual SR for Rayquaza? Or is Rayquaza like the Regigigas in which you need the special pokemon in your party first before it appears? Just a question so I can know because if they have to be in the party for Rayquaza to show up after I get the Jade Orb, it will be SS that I SR on. If not, I will dual hunt that thing in hopes of a quit shine!

I call it: "Route Take Over".

Example: "Giant Chasm Plains has 7 diffrent Pokémon, I catch them all as a shiny and my hunt will be done."

Anyone tryed that? I'm currently doing Giant Chasm Plains.

I have not ever done the "Route Take Over" myself, but I do want all the shinies on Route 5 (minus Audino). I know City of Delusion completed what you call a "Route Take Over," but it was definitely not their intentions. Shiny female Combee were apparently hard to come by at that time.

Got Piloswine 4 days ago, Solrock exploded 2 days ago, and just a 30 minutes ago a shiny Clefairy caught.

Wait, what the hell?? Oh well, I never take 75... I hate going directly through the city so I just take the 285 loop when I'm going to the airport. It's just as well... traffic is bad enough as is. Please don't do that anymore. It's on the same level as looking at text messages or parking at a left turn signal because you want to talk to a buddy.

So I've set a personal record for Shinies in a day. I was doing some late night REs in the Virbank Complex last night. I'd decided to stop at either 11 pm or 1900 REs. However, neither of those happened. At about 10:50 and at 1873 REs, I found a Shiny Magnemite. Took one False Swipe and one Ultra Ball to catch. It's Jolly and Proud of its Power and has Magnet Pull as its ability. This, of course, means it will be my go-to for Steel Shiny hunts, as well as others thanks to Thunder Wave. I'm currently in the process of training it to Lv.60.

I've decided what my next two hunts will be. An RE hunt in the Giant Chasm in hopes of a Metang and SRing for Kyurem.

That's awesome Draknir, If you get a Shiny Metang before me I will be very sad. I've been doing 8.3k RE's there, Ran into 3 Different Shiny's (Piloswine, Solrock, Clefairy) while using the Magnet Pull Ability on my Magnemite with Smoke Ball.

EDIT:
This afternoon, I encountered at 1,158 RE's, a Shiny Clefairy, Careful nature.

Just now ago, 2 hours & 269 steps later, I encountered another Shiny Clefairy, Relaxed nature.

Their Both female, If I get 1 more Shiny today, then it would be my most lucky day. :O

^ Wow gratz on the Clefairies Dylz and good luck on Metang! Back when I was hunting for it I got a shiny Solrock first then Metang finally shine after 15,858 RE's. So don't give up, It'll shine eventually. :]

In other news, I'm still dual hunting for Mandibuzz and REing in Dreamyard, so far nothing yet. I just hope my next shiny will be Mandibuzz. 6 shinies so far this month and my goal is to get 2 more, wish me luck! And wow another person got a shiny Magnemite from Virbank!? Gratz though! and good luck everyone.

Right, you can get two Jade Orbs (for HG and SS respectively) by trading Kyogre to Soulsilver, getting that orb, and then you can trade both onto your other game, and get that orb.

2,500 SRs, doing my Black Playthrough whilst SRing. Hope Delusion, Kitty and Shiny Lord get their shinies! They are a long time coming.

Thanks, I got 4 Pokémon Shine already at Giant Chasm Plains, I'm now on a total of 8.6k RE's, I really can't wait for that Metang to shine, and also I am expecting more Clefairys to shine... I got a Clefairy Phobia now.

Congrats on the double clefairy! Now u will have a a shiny clefairy and clefable! I switched my hunting spot I'm going to hunt in the marsh near icciurus city or however u spell it, I'm aiming for in order poison frog, mud frog, and shelmet.

random question: What is your longest Masuda Method Hunt for you guys?

This is the first time I'm intentionally breeding for a shiny through MM and I'm now at 1400 eggs :/ I'm not using the box method, I'm just hatching 5 eggs at a time, SR and start all over.
