You're just bringing out a completely unrelated example, and you may read my post again, I think Boldore is not evolving, but that doesn't mean it is 100% impossible.

To get Boldore and Poliwhirl to evolve, you don't have to trade with a certain pokemon. You can trade them for anything. So that means the writers aren't obligated to trade them at all in the anime, they can evolve normally.
Agreed with the Bianca and Juniper part. I think they will handle a potential Boldore evolution differently like when Ash goes to use Boldore he evolves right away and Juniper mentions the same happened to Trip with his Conkeldurr from sending Pokemon back and forth. At least with Poliwhirl a Kings Rock was used to evolve fulfilling one of his evolution needs

I'd rather Pignite lose horribly than have the screw over Boldore and Unfezant.

    Why?

Because Pignite in terms of battles and wins, is the best treated starter.

Oshawott only beats Pignite in appearances and screen time.

Poor Snivy, I hate seeing her being screwed over in both areas.

OF the three starters, Pignite can do with a loss.
I will not say I'm the best. But by Ash's standards, I'm pretty good.

Sorry, I must've missed the part where Treecko vs Loudred became an official tournament battle like this one, instead of just a minor side plot to cause Treecko's evolution.

A major battle with Pikachu getting multiple wins, a rampaging Hydreigon and TWO evolutions is a ridiculous thought. It would be too much going on in a single battle. Heck, even without the multiple wins and Hydreigon, the evolutions would STILL be too much. It's just not going to happen, the writers may have brainless moments sometimes, but they aren't 'that' terrible at their jobs..

Kingler, my friend. No matter what, you will always remain my favourite Water type. You shouldn't have missed out on the Sinnoh League and I look forward to seeing you again, hopefully in the near future.

Like we know, we saw :
    - Pignite against Samurott.
    - Pignite against Hydreigon.
    - Pikachu winning on Samurott.
    - Pikachu winning on Swanna.
    - Unfezant against Riolu.
    - A Lucario in the preview (I expect Riolu is evolving)

    It's prediction time !

Pignite vs. Samurott - Pignite is recalled
    Pikachu vs. Samurott - Pikachu
    Pikachu vs. Swanna - Pikachu
    Unfezant vs. Ferrothorn - Unfezant
Unfezant vs. Riolu - Riolu, then recalled
Oshawott vs. Unknow Pokémon - Unknow Pokémon
Snivy vs. Unknow Pokémon - Snivy
    Snivy vs. Riolu - Riolu
Pikachu vs. Lucario (evolves during the battle) - Lucario
    Pignite vs. Lucario - Pignite
    Pignite vs. Hydreigon - Hydreigon
Boldore (or Gigalith) vs. Hydreigon - Boldore (or Gigalith)

That's because every fire type ash ever had was treated well bar torkoal, i agree though, snivy desperately needs screen time,

Oshawott deserves to star in this battle or the next one against Virgil. If this one I hope he takes down Hydreigon

Well we saw Pignite and Boldore against Hydreigon. That should be strange if he could defeat them two... I'm pretty sure Oshawott will come back on Virigl's battle
I love Oshawott too and I want it to shine but it's a little bit logical...

I hope it's Boldore who takes down Hydreigon, not Pignite. And if Boldore loses to Hydreigon, he should beat one Pokemon before that.
Welcome back Charizard! I've missed you so much! <3

I don't see how it wouldn't be believable. We've seen the little guy take down the big guy since Kanto it hasn't changed since

Yeahh but we didn't see much of those pokemon, it's pretty much proven that oshawott is ash's weakest pokemon alongside scraggy.

Which is why he deserves such a big win in this League.

If Totodile can take out a Charizard no matter who was ordering it then Oshawott can do it too. Thats one thing I have learned from Anime after all these years. And don't forget last league Gible beat Dusknoir too.

Yeah given how the tournaments progressed is it even slightly possible this'll end up a 4Vs4 Battle?

    Just saying

    R2: 2 on 2
    R3: 3 on 3

I agree, oshawott does need a big win, just maybe one a little more believable

Type advantage, and being the weakest pokemon in ash's sinnoh team is still above being the strongest pokemon in ash's unova team.

I would find it believable. Pignite weakens Hydreigon, switches out with Oshawott and the Otter goes in for the kill.

You think Krookodile, Leavanny and Pignite are weaker than Gible? *facepalm*
