I'm surprised that nobody has brought up that Lucario is in the title before Pikachu, making it look like Kotetsu is the main character of this battle. Usually Ash's Pokemon are always listed first in the titles. Its more of a sign Ash will lose. At this rate I wouldn't be surprised if Kotetsu does beat Virgil too and wind up winning the entire league.

Yeah, it's a misquotation of a joking statement that "if he became a Pokemon Master, the series would end, wouldn't it?" from an old interview with an ex-writing staff member. People need to stop claiming this nonsense as truth already.

24 is the last episode of the league. its called unova league conclusion. Episode N begins the following week

I disagree. These summaries never detail the plot all the way up to the end of the episode.

I agree with you.. It's far more likely that Riolu evolves, has beaten Unfezant, or beats Unfezant as a Lucario, and Ash sends out Snivy. Cliffhanger.
- Next episode: Lucario drives Snivy into a tightspot, beats Snivy. Pikachu vs. Lucario. End of battle, confirmed because Lucario is the last pokemon out for Kotetsu..

As such, I don't agree with the 'very likely'-part.. I think that Ash vs. Kotetsu will wrap up in the first few minutes of the episode, and than we get an 8minute Ash vs. Virgil fight in which Ash loses. Wrapping up the league doesn't need a half of an episode, especially if the proposed clips are used, look at the Sinnoh League, it took 2 minutes tops to show Tobias winning, getting his prize, and Ash and co leaving the stadium, talking to Barry, and talking about their futures. So it baffles me why we would need half of an episode to do the same.

With this, I think we can safely assume that Boldore also evolves.. 'And then..' has almost always meant evolution, and with Gigalith on the calender this just seals the deal.

I agree with this, I feel when Nintendo/Pokemon/Gamefreak whoever makes the anime and the writers decide to finally bring the anime to an end it would happen by making Ash go back to Kanto and win the Indigo league. By then he should have a good amount of strong Pokemon that could win him the league.

Uhh... If there's going to be a lot of switching, then wouldn't that make the battle more cramped into the confinementes of the episode? Switching takes time away from the battles. Limiting to two switches (if you were reacting to my post) would give more time for each individual battle.

It doesn't seem like we will be getting some of those OHKO's. The only one that does seem like it is Pikachu vs. Swanna, and that's only by going with what the manga says.

If it said "But then" instead of And then" I'd assume that Hydreigon turns the tables and smashes Boldore despite its "well-placed and accurate moves" but along with the calendar I truly believe that Boldore might indeed evolve now.
