Toonami is doing good

The original Naruto. Disney still owns the rights to Shippuden (even though they apparently aren't airing it).

One Piece is just too long to air 1 episode a week. With like 500+ episodes, it would take YEARS to finish. And I've heard people say that you have to wait for Season 3 or 4 for it to get good, which isn't a good thing.

Naruto Shippuden is an on going series too??? It would be along time before they'd be able to catch up to Japan but for the best, than we won't have so many breaks for new episodes.

Define merit because those three shows suck pretty hard. As did dubbed Sailor Moon, Pokemon, and Yu-Gi-Oh!.

For a television show, "merit" would be defined as: popularity and success. NO ONE can say DBZ, Naruto, Bleach, Sailor Moon, Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh! do not fit that description. All of those shows are still popular to this day as they are still on TV, or in Sailor Moon's case, will be revamped next year. If they sucked, no one would want to see them again.

Also, "those three shows suck pretty hard" is strictly an opinion, and has no evidence to back it up. If they TRULY sucked, they would never have broken away from the otaku and into mainstream entertainment.

The Toonami staff have stated the most requested shows to return to Toonami included: DBZ, Naruto, One Piece, Yu Yu Hakusho, Sailor Moon, and Zatch Bell.

Well, with a limited budget, you can only expect so much. But considering the amount of shows they've gotten and the fact that they expanded to 6 hours, they've done really well.

"Bad taste" is an opinion and doesn't change the fact that all of these shows (except maybe Zatch Bell) are very popular, though most want them back purely for nostalgia for the "real Toonami".

They never said how many people wanted Shippuden, but I'm guessing there were plenty to go along with the requests for the original. Either way, it doesn't matter since they can't get Shippuden until Disney drops it.

Clannad? People are already demanding Tenchi Muyo! GXP be taken off the air. I could only imagine the backlash if they pick up Clannad...

And yes it is my OPINION, but the dub does not suck. The acting is not bad, and the voices fit the characters pretty well. Is it perfect? No. Nothing is perfect. But is it terrible? No. I've heard FAR worse. Dig up some of the earliest dubbed anime.

I wouldn't mind DBZ re-runs, I might watch it because I do tend to search up random episodes at random times to watch them. So now I could just turn on the TV. lol But I digress, it doesn't matter. Isn't toonami mostly action? Would clannad REALLY fit on it?

I wouldn't mind a change of pace (because I liked clannad), but that seems very off from toonami, ANY toonami (even the kinds WB :OOO)...feel free to prove me wrong though.

really? I found the Dub to be quite enjoy-able. I litterally switched between the dub and Japanese version because I was watching it through Youtube (whatever i found the next episode in lol), and I didn't notice any difference in my enjoyment of the series. I think thats opinion. :P

Yeah...its a little better. Only because of the repetitive words (Gyo? defu?) not said correctly, and in the end, the quick "I love you" got a chuckle out of me anyway. xD (Not to mention the laugh at the end was funny to. They directly translated the script @.@....xD

But the voices are great to me. I freaken love Tomoya's english voice. I really think it fits him. XD

On the Clannad subject I can't watch it dubbed. I just don't think it fits at all. If people wanna watch it dubbed that's fine, as long as there's no significant changes to the script I'm glad they've at least seen it.
