the regular Wii's internal drive is godly not this mechanical crap.

They really are stretching there dollar when it comes to this Wii U business.

People seem to forget they did the same thing for GBA even when DS was out. TBH I won't buy it since i got a Wii U but it is more of a collection item then anything

I honestly think it's a dumb idea. I mean, they just released the Wii U, and now they're releasing a smaller version of a previous console (yes, I did read the comments above). Since, from what I was told, the Wii U plays Wii games, I don't think that it's gonna go far with the audience.

They aren't selling the Wii mini to compete with the Wii U - whether they share any functionality is irrelevant.

The Wii mini exists for the admittedly small cross-section of gaming consumers who never owned a Wii and want to play the Wii's software library. Yes, it is a small cross-section. But that too is irrelevant because Nintendo is not counting on the Mini to carry their sales this holiday season. Like the NES, SNES and GBA last-gasp redesigns before it, it's a means of squeezing a few more dollars out of old hardware that's now easier and cheaper to produce than it was six years ago. Nothing more.

There is literally zero reason for anyone to complain this thing exists. Zero. None. Flat out. If you're not buying it, it isn't affecting you in any way, and the next person to complain Nintendo is "focusing on the mini rather than the Wii U" (you all know who you are) may in fact get a giant candy cane upside their head. Maybe I'm kidding, maybe I'm not - find out at your own peppermint-sticky risk.

In other news Nintendo has no plans to release it the UK.

Of course this could be due to the fact that we already have a redesigned Wii so why release another model for a dying system.

Niet, nein I thoroughly decline that is not what I mean. Nintendo's hardware is as people have put it usually made of nintendium. Wii Mini is just a crappier version of the Wii made with cheap materials. Which people have been complaining about in regards to the Wii U (nintendo cut back on the hardware and some other things to make the console cheaper)(hence why its mast produced with lower end plastic(by nintendo standards).

People have been complaining about the cheaper quality and have been saying nintendo has been skimping out to combat selling the Wii U at a loss( which has already been weaned out to save them money)


I thought I made it clear I dont like mechanical drives, they are pretty piss poor the drive in the Regular Wii is a much nicer one.

Which is why i have expressed doubt over Nintendo making cheap products(the definition of cheap in this regard has been set by nintendo's own precedent) to combat production losses in their vast wealth.

I'd want this if it played Gamecube games, so I could have something smaller beside my Wii U. I have all my Wii data on my Wii U anyway. Actually they should just make a GCN Mini to accompany Wii U systems on our TV stands...

There are no 13 year old Gameube games. Anyhow, isn't the Wii U Store getting downloadable versions of titles from the GameCube library?
