Club Double Trouble (a double battling community)

i have no idea how that works because i really dont like soccer! xD
but if you mean like... you go in and get points from battling in a "round robin" type thingy, and then the teams with the most points at the end wins? if you look at the second post, we already have something very similar to that. the second post if you didn't know is the list of tournament ideas (and where the tourney is gonna be when we have one) and the trade shop which is not up and running yet.

Hi! I'm Gothic-Gothorita, and I'm a Competitive Double Battler! My favorite VGC Pokemon are Roserade and Swanna! <3 My favorite Pokemon is Leafeon! I like Double Battles because it's way faster then Single Battles and it gives me the chance to focus on more then one Pokemon in battle. It also helps me think of different tactics and battles styles too! I really dun want a Job... .___.

And joej it is a bit different from the greed tournament. I hosted the two tournaments before and the results were pretty differents.
The greed tournament resolves on you battling anyone you want in order to maintain your points and be the last man stading (while everyone else lost his/hers points)
That "league" resolves on assembling a few groups, like Fire Hero said a good example is soccer or some other sport like tennis. In each group lets say we have 4 people, so you have to play against the other 3 from your group 2 times, a win gives you a certain amount of points, same as draw and defeat... after all games are completed we proceed to count the points and in each group the top2 players will advance to a single elimination phase. There we can put pair everyone randomly and they make for example a single match or a best out of 3... epends if you wanna play a bit more or a bit less. While doing that the person who wins advances to the quarter-finals, semo-finals and final (depending on how many people we have there could be some more rounds before the quarter.finals. and yeah... its basically it. I think it pretty different from the Greed tournament. Personally i like both, but if no one is interested that its all good xDD

@princess... glaceon IS a ton better. blizzard spam is fun! i think it is a 49% of one of the foes pokemon to be frozen with blizzard.
i think that all monotypes on a team would even be crippling due to lower amount of stab on the team. and all Eeveelutions are monotype... >_>

Actually me and CG7 had a pretty good battle with only eeveelutions but it was rotation xD

Glaceon is amazing. Almost replaced Pikachu as my favorite Pokemon. :P Plus it's special attack is pretty amazing :3

It is quite fun to use Blizzard during a hailstorm. And the fact that you can freeze your opponents too makes it better. If only my Glaceon was faster.

but the only downside to glacion is its low speed... which is why doubles is so freaking awesome! TRICK ROOM w00p w00p~!

Least favorite POKEMON to face in doubles.
gotta go with cresselia, sableye, or gastrodon.
gastrodon completely shuts down all water types and is hard to take out. cresselia just can't die! D: and sableye has an awesome move pool that can cripple foes especially physical attackers.

Gastrodon, Politoed, and Ludicolo are all evil in Double Battles. It's ironic that I'm saying this, I specialize in Water Pokemon.

Herro, my name is Shinytaifood and I wish to become a competitive double battler. I've never battled with VGC rules before, but my favorite Pokemon both competitively and non-competitive is Latios. Mainly because it's badass with dem specs and it's adorable. I like double battling. I used to do it all the time before I started battling competitively. It's more fun, but sadly it doesn't see the light of day No job for now.

actually, terrakion is super easy to take out... >.> its AWFUL typing makes it easy to KO. with fake out in the metagame you can fake out, then attack and probably KO. it shuts down the most common item, focus sash and then you are good to go!
i also hate any and all ice types with blizzard if there is a hail up.

also, you will be able to use your favorite pokemon A TON! latios is a beast in the VGC metagame!

you dont see to many any more other than the occasional abamasnow to counter weather. but on almost all teams you will almost NEED an ice type move and a steel type to counter those stupid dragons! D:

Oh yes, Jellicent is a hard one too. I remember battling someone who had one and not even a super effective move had put a dent in it.
