What was your favorite 4th Gen game?

The 4th Gen is my favourite Gen by far, and it brought so so much to the table. I love DPPt for the music, the storyline and the awesome line-up of new Pokemon it brought, but HGSS had so much nostalgia and sentimental value, plus I've always loved Johto and its Pokemon. The Johto and Sinnoh regions are both kind of similar in their own ways, even the Pokemon look as if they have been designed in a similar manner. But that's beside the point. I think HeartGold has to be my favourite 4th Gen game (playing right now, in fact) although Platinum follows right behind it. Kind of wish the Pokemon saga could stay like 4th gen for a while longer...

Platinum. As far as individual games go, this might be my favorite of all time if I'm honest with myself. The plot is fairly good, the Pokemon have decent levels, there is a nice selection for the most part (Despite the lack of fire types.) and there is plenty to do post league. Combining all of that with the Wi-Fi aspect that we've all come to love and depend on, what's not to like about it?

Mhm, definetly. Soul Silver. Back in gen. 2 Silver was my favorite game and up until HG/SS release gen 2 was my favorite gen. I've always liked Lugia ever since one of the older movies with Lugia and Moltres, Zapdos, Articuno.

Why must people ask questions that are so hard to answer? I loved almost every main game that came out for gen. 4! Platinum, Heart Gold, Explorers of sky... Man... I'd have to say... no, not that one. Um... Heart Platimun? No, I really don't know, I liked them all for different things. Not like I can choose one over the other, each holds it's own share of great memories.

Soul Silver and Heart Gold for me. They brought back some great memories from my childhood and they were awesome games as well.

Platinum version. It fixed all the problems Diamond and Pearl had, enhanced the story, and the region of Sinnoh was amazing for me. I loved the Sinnoh region. Platinum is my all time favorite Pokemon game ever so far.

Ah. As much as I love my soulsilver with countless legendaries and double the regions to explore, i still must stay Platinum. My first game ever, and still my favotite. Maxed out hours, countless encouters and so many great memories. But the main reason is that i saw all the national dex pokemon excluding the event exclusive lengedaries.

Platinum had an amazing storyline. Team Galactic was really serious and even accomplished their goal, but were stopped midway through. Not to mention the Pokémon in this game were pretty great. Character designs were good, too.

Heart Gold by miles. Rematch king 16 Gym Leaders and Exploring 2 regions just does not get better. Reminds me why I love gen 2. Platinum was interesting as well, I just don't like it as much as Heart Gold.

SoulSilver/HeartGold gets my vote on this, I actually thought I would still like Platinum better after starting HG for the first time but there's just so much to do in those games.
And I never really experienced Johto when GSC came out, since I didn't get any of the games and could only watch brothers or friends play it.
