I wouldn't mind if they wrapped up Ash's story, but that doesn't seem likely since he placed top 8 this region and will probably place top 4 next time, meaning he's gonna be staying for a long time.
But the females always get developed along with Ash. That's the difference.
In Paradise with Iris and her Pokemon!
He has a higher chance than Iris, but I don't know. It seems mostly females of this show have to always be replaced. Maybe they'll keep Cilan around for 4 regions like Brock. I'm sure Cilan stans would be elated 4 life.

Very very high.
In my eyes, they're high. I believe he might stay for another region or two.

I still don't get why Ash can't get a maid as a sidekick, bonus points if she/he is massive with superpowers and supernatural hair.
Extremely low given that his dreams are already within reach. Unlike Ash's previous caretaker (Brock), Cilan doesn't have to travel with Ash for almost a decade since he knew from the start what he wanted to be and he worked toward that goal even before he met Ash. Iris has a higher chance of staying in the main cast due to her goal being far off.
Really high chance he hasnt gotten much into his Connosuier thing and i would like to see him work to be a S class also he doesnt have many pokemon really. also i would love for him to be the one to enter contest in the region if they bring them back
I suppose it would depend on what the potential replacements would be like

Current Black 2 team
That's because he's so close to becoming an S-Class Connoisseur already that there's really no point in giving him tons of episodes that revolve around it. He's much more of an "entertaining" character who does random stuff because he can. Unlike Iris, he doesn't have to deal with the constant pressure that comes from not being close to one's goal.
None of them besides Ash should stay. When a sidekick stays too long their fans develop an entitlement complex.
They need to get rid of cilan asap
He is so awkward in the dub, and his character makes no sense to the western audience, what in the hell were the writers thinking!
Cilan only appeals to the japanese audience, simple as that.

I'd like to see Ash traveling with the 6th gen male protagonist and sort of teach him the ropes and maybe they each partake in gym challenges and have Ash playing a true teacher role to this kid (he di the same to May & Dawn but he wasn't involved in contests so having him focus on teaching his new friend how to do gyms would really cement their role in the show) whilst the girl companion is an in-game character (maybe the female protag? not necessarily a gym leader) with a more focused Brock/Cilan-like goal...
I don't think it's likely knowing this show's idea of development for Ash, but I'd prefer it over Cilan sticking around, just to mess with the formula a little bit. As much as Best Wishes has changed many things, the group dynamics are still the same: the other male in the group is pretty superfluous to the storyline and is only around for knowledge, entertainment & sticking to the "trio" formula the show has going on. Unless his role is stepped up and he's given some importance, I'll remain indifferent to Cilan sticking around even though I know it's pretty likely.
Thank you to Sworn Metalhead for the banner! Much appreciated!
