I find it quite unbelievable as an AUS player who gets crap all oceanic events let alone any of them being shinies. I, like a lot of players have been playing pokemon for 12-15years, have never ever seen a shiny or obtained one ingame until 1-2yrs ago via an event so forgive me for jumping the gun and calling hax so keep your smartass comments to yourself.

I already recieved 2 hacked pokemon off GTS so i couldn't see why they wouldnt use any for the tournament.

Maybe you should consider RNGing.

I've caught a bunch of shinies without RNGing. you just have bad bad luck.

Hell I caught a random *** shiny ditto about 10 days ago in Giant Chasm.

RNG'd pokemon are caught in the game legitimately by using an external device that analyzes random numbers based on mersenne twister and PIDRNG.

No external devices or software are connected to the game at all.

100% legal and 100% legitimate.

Are you sure its 1608 and not 1708? Im at 15-3 with 1630 and it still needs to calculate 2 battles i just won making me think ill go to 17-3 with around 1650,
Perhaps abomasnow had choice scarf?

Perhaps that could be it, unless you are in a differet rank as me then maybe your points get calculated different, if i loose a battle i go down around 27 points and if i win i get around 12 points

EDIT: just won against someone 2-0 it came down my darmanitan and my marowak vs hydreigon and cresselia. U-turn on hydreigon = dead, Fire Punch on cresselia = deas

Well, finally got my team ready and I just finished my first game. My Sableye, Dusknoir, Lickilicky, and Gastrodon vs. his Mantine, Sunflora, Emboar, and Lucario.

The good news: It was the first time that I've ever actually won my first battle in a tournament. 3-0d him, and I'm pretty sure he was just using in-game Pokemon that he hadn't put too much thought into (unless Rock Smash + Flamethrower on an Emboar is just a strategy I've never heard of...?). It was also definitely the first time he's come across Storm Drain. He reacted exactly as I did the first time I came across one. His Mantine gave me 2 free boosts, so I'm pretty sure he tried aiming at my Gastrodon, then tried aiming away from my Gastrodon. xD Though the odd thing is that that was AFTER I surfed, so maybe he just wasn't paying attention.

The bad news: The bugger disconnected after I won the match. Now that battle doesn't count towards my custap berry. :/ Jerkwad.
EDIT: But wait, it did give that whole "Your record needs to be calculated" stuff after I got the lost connection message, so maybe it does count? I hope so.
But he's still a jerkwad if he dc'd, lol!
