i'm fairly high ranking, but i kinda got it by pounding weaklings in the junior/senior. lol
not too many good players in this

there isn't, i have yet to fight someone at 1500+ today, though thankfully at least im getting some higher 1400's now... Anyways, 20-5 now. And still cant even get into the 1700 rating yet

In a word: Yes
Choice Scarf = Speedx1.5
Swift Swim = Speedx2

When you see Politoed, make sure you bring your rain coat (i.e. anti-weather'mon) to the match!

* I was able to get 8 games in last night and went 8-0 with a couple of pretty close matches (now at 1609 I think) - one against a guy running a Trick Room, Water Spout Shiny Jellicent - which was a great match that I had to delete as it was quickly followed by another one against a guy using PIKACHU and Staraptor lead that had a 1680 raiting! Terrified, I did not know what to expect and only squeeked out the win with luck. I'm going to post up all of the battle videos when the tourneys done for quick review on PokeCheck (the new Vs reporter is pretty awesome!).

Just made my first battle against a high 1600s ranked guy with a "goodstuffs" team and I barely defeated him 1-0. It was a nice and contested match.

The only thing I don't like about going against high-ranking opponents is that you're more likely to run into some jerk that's going to ragequit in order to save their ranking. So far, I've gotten around the 1630s.

my tyranitar against his metagross.
both had full health and he previously used zen headbutt and my hitmontop. that was so dumb of him. he was choice band metagross!!!
i thought i was dead, and i really didn't wanna lose to him because his rank was pretty low...
now i am above 1700!!! btw i have NOT rage quitted to save my ranking. i got up there from awesome luck today!

yesterday i went all the way down to 1457 D:
i had awful hax... today i bumped it up so freaking much! x)
but i have done 57 battles already! xD
this is one day i am glad to be sick and get to stay home from school :P

I only made one battle. Then I waited 5 minutes for the next and gave up. I hope I can keep a good winning streak My team deserves it ^^

do you mean it was having trouble finding someone? because if that is the case, then just go to the title screen and come back. it works every time!

Having a decent tournament so far, won a lot more than I've lost but haven't been keeping track of my wins
Got smashed by some dude from Spain with an 1800+ ranking!!!
And really annoyed that could've had 3 more wins had it not been for RQers
