I built this team with a few main objectives.
1.) Confuse the opposing team during team preview.
2.) Run and gun with Luxray utilizing volt switch with Forretress. Volt switch back and forth to keep the intimidates coming and to keep luxray protected from harm.
3.) Use Gengar's substitute and painsplit to level playing field and kick down tanks and high health pokes, as well as being an all around powerful SP. atk with high speed. (Glass Cannon LOL)
4.) Utilize Arcanine to have more move coverage as well as being an all around bad-***

With this team, I employ one of several strategies
1.) Use Gengar Foretress. Have gengar throw up substitutes and tackle threats with his epic SP.ATK, have forretress rapid spin threats away if needed, lay spikes if I have time, and most of all, volt switch with scarfed luxray back and forth for STAB luxray volt switches while keeping his *** protected..
2.) Use foretress luxray, and volt switch in either the sand team or arcanine gengar for 2 intimidates, but this leaves gengar and arcanine open for slapping around, kind of silly.
What do you think? I like the bait and switch strategy, and I usually leave tyranitar and excadrill out of the match for some reverse psychology and go for STAB's, spikes, and fast volt switches.
I know luxray's speed is trash, but I want to prove his worth
