The Combatants Cup - Drafts

Now that the main signup phase has ended, we can begin the draft for the combatants cup. once that has finished, the Fantasy League will draft during the first week of the cup. I will update the op to include information on the Fantasy draft AFTER the Cup draft is completed.

THIS THREAD IS ONLY FOR USE BY THE CAPTAINS/DESIGNATED DRAFTERS AND MYSELF AT THE CURRENT TIME. ANY OTHER POSTS WILL BE REGARDED AS SPAM.

Section 1:
The Combatants Cup:

Now that the captains have been finalized and the registrations have finished, we can begin the draft. Here is how it is going to work:
We will utilize a standard snake draft. this means that, in the first round of picks, team 1 will pick first, and team 12 will pick last. then, in the second round, the order will be reversed. This will continue until all the participants have been chosen. Each Captain will have 24 hours to make a pick before a player is selected for them, at random, and the pick goes to the next captain in line.

Fantasy League Owners. You are all required to send me a list of all 60 participants ranked in order of who you want to draft most to who you want to draft least. I need this list by Friday at the ABSOLUTE Latest. We will be holding a live draft for the fantasy league, so if you can't be there, your 'smartlist' is what your picks will be based off of. the date and time will be announced shortly.

The draft has been scheduled for 6 pm gmt-5 on Wednesday, 1/2/2013.

Captains -
If there is a chance you will not be available to make your draft pick in the allotted 24 hour period, please organize a list, from most desired to least desired, of the registered participants. That way, I can move the draft along much faster.


At the end of round 1 I will be cutting the allotted draft choice time to 16 hours in an attempt to speed this up. 1 draft pick a day will not do. we'll be here for 2 months.
