Wouldn't mind seeing a swordfish pokemon or a wasp pokemon in Gen. 6. It'd be pretty neat to see a variety of new, different pokemon that won't be compared to past generations (which hopefully doesn't happen).

I would really like to see: a wolf (maybe Ice-type), a coyote (Dark-type), a millipede (Bug/ Steel), a griffon (possibly part Dragon), and a dolphin (don't know why that hasn't been done yet).

    Dachshund (Weiner dogs) (Normal/Fire)
    Gorilla (Ground/Normal) (Normal)
    Dolphin (Water)
Bluebird (Would be an shiny for the 6th gen bird) (Flying/Normal)
    Narwhal (Water/Ice)
Rhino (Bouffalant/Tauros of that gen) (Rhydon could be considered one, but you never know) (Normal)
    Barracuda (Water)
    Wolf (Dark) (Normal)
    Gar Fish (Water) (Water/Rock)
    Otter (Water)
Tiger (Raikou is technically one of the dog trio, but it's design looks like a tiger)
    Ram (Rock/Grass)
    Iguana (Grass/Bug)

Just a few pokemon i feel would a great addition to the Pokeuniverse.

My big idea that i think could be really successful would be Paddlefish-->Swordfish--->Sawfish evo line. Water/Steel typing would be awesome.

Mantine is a ray, Kabuto is a horshoe crab/trilobite. A whale shark probably wouldn't happen due to Wailord being available as a Blue Whale. You never know though.

I'd like to see an ice/flying type based on a Snowy owl.
A Dolphin pokemon would be quite cool. I would add a killer whale, but I think Kyogre looks like one.

I think we need more pokemon based on prehistoric or extinct animals, like Stegosaurus, Styracosaurus, Maiasaura, Iguanodon, Hypsilophodon, Dimetrodon, Cameroceras, Dunkleosteus, Liopleurodon, Ichthyosaurus, Doedicurus, Parasaurolophus, Diictodon, Postosuchuc, Gorgonops, Entelodon, Gastornis, Megatherium and the Dodo could all be cool. In fact Sinornithosaurus, a dinosaur related to Velociraptor, had wings and was once thought to have a poisonous bite. The poison has since been disproven, but thats a new flying/poison type right there!

Well, there are still thousands. I would love to see snowy or barn owl, wolf, coati, dolphin or orca, mantis ( scyther doesn't count), iguana or aardvark. I am sure there are many more I can't think about right now.

Why ignoring Kyogre? Sure, it is based on the legendary Leviathan, but appearance wise it is an killer whale.

Cthulhu, Yeti (I think), Sphinx, and not an animal but Imagination. This is why we need the Fakémon club back...

I've said it before and I'll say it again, we really need some kind of earthworm Pokemon (I'm thinking Ground/Bug). It'd be a nice change of pace for the caves than the same generic bats and rocks.

Other than that, Swordfish, Dolphin, and Narwhal need to happen.

True it does resemble one but theories otherwise suggest that it's based off of a European Plague Doctor because of its ability Healer and the description on how it gives many fragrances as a reference to how plague doctors store sweet smells in the beaks of the mask.

If anything, Spritzee could evolve into a plague doctor with flamingo like traits too.

Has the Angler fish ever been utilized? There are so many Pokemon, I can't think of one off the top of my head that looks like that...

Lanturn and Chinchou are based on angler fish, but I would enjoy seeing another anglerfish that has the eerie looks of the real thing.

If they're going to do that, they can't go much farther than Lanturn. Part of Pokemon design specifications, according to Game Freak, is that a Pokemon can't look too scary or threatening, it has to be endearing enough that you'd want to befriend it.

Elektrik, Haunter, and Yanmega are pretty freaky-looking. You don't have to go much further than that for a more accurate angler fish.
