It shouldn't even be a manga thing you should know, Red and Green were the first two games. Ash is based on Red, and Gary's based on Green. The mix up with Red and Blue was just an appropriation thing that the US did.. "He is called 'Blue' in the US" is just a stupid thing to say because it was a screw up that they stuck with, since they never released Red and Green, before releasing the redone Red and Blue version.

As for this episode.. With Ash battling Nonomi in BWn-1, I hope we can see some more 'consolation battles' for Ash in his fight against Plasma.

Like others have stated, probably the Basic Badge. I always though lenora's reason would have been she got pregnant but BW2 just stated that she wanted to focus on fossils.
