I guess it makes sense when you think of it like that, but I still think that Ash has many, many Pokemon that need a good battle.

Scraggy!? Scraggamuffins just got a league win, even if it was only a Darumaka. Oshawott and Snivy could use wins...

As for me, I still really haven't formed an opinion on this episode, I mean YAY at least Cheren (still dislike him) is now a gym leader and stuff, but I can't seem to really care.

Maybe it's because Iris was being considered for gym leadership in Opelucid City, and then we have to have this episode. But I guess if this helps Iris become a gym leader, then I guess it will be worth it.

So I'm assuming Iris, is the one who will get focus in this episode if anyone because Cheren is a NEW gym leader, with Iris potentially becoming a gym leader.

Oshawott and Snivy are in need the most of a good battle and to win that battle.

Guys it doesnt matter if scraggy won a quick less than 15sec battle against a Darumakka, it is a win but Scraggy deserves a real and long battle agains a worthy opponent. For example, Leavanny had a great battle, it's ok if she doesnt battle for some time, Oshawott had a decent battle against Hydrigeon, he could use another battle too but not that much as Scraggy. Scraggy could be a great choice agains Cheren along with pignite and oshawott to make it a 3 vs 3 agains Cheren.

I hope Cilan battles Cheren. A new Gym Leader battling a seasoned Gym Leader would be really interesting and it would be nice to see some development for Cilan. I don't want to see him get shafted in Episode N

Another rule breaker? The Unova saga is on a roll. But do we even know if anyone is battling? I don't see the point in showing Cheren in a battle given that he'll probably use the same Pokemon or strategy as Lenora. We don't need any more basic Pokemon clogging up what could potentially be a good episode tbh.

Chili - Randomly visits a town near Driftveil.
Burgh - Leaves to Pinwheel Forest.
Clay - Refuses to battle until Ash runs his errands.
Skyla - Can't even battle properly.
Drayden - MIA.
Roxie - Leaves on tour and recently returned.

The Zangoose on the February Calendar is Cheren's and will debut if him and Ash battle.

Why? Because Golbat and Seviper most likely belong to the Plasma Grunts like they do in games, the Mienshao, Beartic, and Scolipede are the ones from Colress's episode, and Ampharos and Mareep are most likely going to appear in a filler taking place in Flocessy Ranch.

Dunno there is Seviper there, so they migth do a Zangoose vs Seviper thing but yeah hopefully it belongs to him and Seviper is just Musashi Seviper.

So we will get a Mareep/Ampharos appearance also, the others we already know where they appear.

Still sticking with Dent helping Cheren learn the ropes of being a Gym leader and IF someone battles him it will be either him or Satoshi(I don't see a battle with a main character happening actually)
