    Personal comments:
-We all knew Wrecking Ball was going #1 this week. I really hate seeing Miley top the chart, but if she HAD to do, I'm glad she did it with Wrecking Ball instead of We Can't Stop
-2nd week at #3 for Royals. It better not be subjected to the Alternative Smash #3 Curse. I need this to be #1 soon
-Hm, first chart with an all-female (as lead artist) Top 3 since March 2012. It actually feels kind of nice to see women dominating after so long (and this is coming from a man)
-I wonder how long Blurred Lines will stay in the Top 5. Its radio number is still massive, but it's also crashing
-Applause continues to hold up much better than I expected

Summertime Sadness is still on the charts? I thought it would've dropped more than that.
I hope Holy Grail stays above Berserk. I want Eminem to exceed Jay-Z, but I can't stand Berserk.

Sad to see Roar dethroned all ready but good for Miley I guess she's slaying this era.

Gaga being pursued by Katy in the Prism truck, Brit coming to her rescue, the Lotus parts, and the ending. That was perfectly hilarious. I just wish it was longer.

The Top 10 for the Hot 100 being released tomorrow (chart dated October 5th):

    1. "Wrecking Ball" - Miley Cyrus (=) (2nd week @ #1!)
    2. "Roar" - Katy Perry (=)
    3. "Royals" - Lorde (=)
    4. "Wake Me Up" - Avicii (+1)
    5. "Blurred Lines" - Robin Thicke ft. T.I. & Pharrell (-1)
    6. "Holy Grail" - Jay-Z ft. Justin Timberlake (=)
    7. "Hold On, We're Going Home" - Drake ft. Majid Jordan (+1)
    8. "Applause" - Lady Gaga (-1)
    9. "Summertime Sadness" - Lana Del Rey & Cedric Gervais (+1)
    10. "Safe And Sound" - Capital Cities (+2)
    --------------------------------------------------------------------
    12. "Work B**ch!" - Britney Spears (DEBUT)
    17. "Dark Horse" - Katy Perry ft. Juicy J (DEBUT)

    Personal comments:
-Despite disliking Miley more than Katy, I do prefer Wrecking Ball to Roar, so I'm glad Wrecking Ball won this close fight for #1
-Royals was #1 on Digital Songs this week, so it's only a matter of time before it makes it to #1
-Applause's consistency throughout its entire chart run has been hilarious to watch
-Safe And Sound needs to decide whether it wants to stay in the Top 10 or not
-I don't know what's worse for Britney; the fact that her hyped up lead single debuted outside the Top 10, or that it was only 5 spots higher than a promo single

Wow! They got a TON of AMAZING artists on this soundtrack! In terms of artists, this is one of the best soundtrack albums in a very, very long time! I'm so excited to hear the songs by all of the artists that I bolded (especially OMAM, Sia, Lorde and Ellie Goulding).

I think this might be the first soundtrack I will buy in like forever.

So Britney's manager confirmed today that either Britney's next single or her third single will be called Perfume. It's a ballad about breaking up and it was written by her and Sia. Can't wait to hear it.

I can't believe I live in a world where a soundtrack can include The National, Ellie Goulding, and Antony & the Goddamn Johnsons, but I sure am glad.

Hi eveyone (I'm in a decent mood). So Miley being number one. I never expected her to be number one anything, but Wrecking Ball is a really nice song (not ratchet at all like her other single). It's very raw, and it just keeps attacking throughout the course of it, if that makes sense. Apparently she cried while singing that song in a performance, which actually reminded me that, well, Miley Cyrus is a human being. I still don't like her; I don't think I respect her; I guess... I understand her?? At least more than I did before. But HOT DAMN! This Top 10 is great! I can honestly say I like 9 of these songs (Drake gtfo). Come on, where were all these songs a month ago?

After listening to Work B**** several times, I looked up the lyrics and had the need to actually work at something useful.
I think it's time for the critics and audience to appreciate music that has meaning, like Work B****.

I used to dislike Work B****, but it's starting to grow on me. I haven't heard Dark Horse yet, and I haven't been excited for a soundtrack for quite a while. As for Lorde, she still has a solid chance with “Royals” for the #1 spot.

Miley featuring Britney. I warn you, Britney's part is decent, Miley's is painful.

I tried to give "Walking On Air" a chance, but I just couldn't get myself to like it. I just found the beat kind of annoying and too persistent. I did really like the bridge though, plus now I really want to hear the song that she sampled "tonight, I'm walking on air" from. Overall, it was definitely better than Dark Horse and some of the Teenage Dream singles, but it still doesn't come close to touching E.T., TOTGA or Wide Awake.

And if SMS (Bangerz) ever gets released to radio, I think I'm going to have to turn off any radio near me for the rest of my life, because I can't bear to listen to it again.

Walking on Air is so basic. Just rehashed 90's dance music. All I got to look forward to this week is Brit's new music video which I hope slays cuz Work needs to rise on the charts.

Anyone here heard "The Fox" by Ylvis?

" You called me out upon the waters
The great unknown, Where feet may fail
And there I find You in the mystery
In oceans deep, my Faith will stand ..."

y'all are a buzzkill... I loved the 90s feel of Walking On Air, it definitely stomps the other two tracks from Prism into the ground.

It's not as if she really had to do much to beat the other two Prism tracks though

In short, the vocals and production on WOA were pretty good, the lyrics were terrible and the choir part of the bridge was pretty bad. I did love the sample and I actually rather enjoyed the track since, for once, Katy did something relatively atypical by her standards.

I didn't like the Dark Horse sample, but loved the Walking On Air sample. Now that the full songs are out, I like Dark Horse and dislike Walking on Air. They're both still ehhhh songs, but what can you do about it.
