Awesome, reffing time! Let’s see how this will work. And Octo, I hate your commands. I had to consult a higher-up about what to do with it.

The sun beamed down on a Pokeball-shaped pasture, filled with Pokémon large and small running around. A lone figure sat atop a tower of different pokeballs. The figure, Sho Minamimoto, yawned and adjusted his black cap and red bandanna.

“This is so zetta boring. How’d I get to this point anyway? This is really subtracting from my reaper duties.” Sho looked to his right and saw something out of the corner of his eye, “Hang on, those twelve digits look unfamiliar…”

The focus shifted to the twelve Pokémon looking ready to brawl it out, each one having a Pokeball in their hands.

Sho smiled, “Well this is a happy miscalculation. Let’s see how this factors out.”

Rubyzard, Sudowoodo, Blaziken, Charzezard, Togepi, Crustle, Yanmega, and Politoed activate their respective abilities while Arbok coils (1) in anticipation of what’s to come. Togekiss takes a different approach and creates a wind near it’s tail (1) to boost its speed.

Politoed decides to make area look like it’s natural habitat and calls upon a surf (1) to do the job for it. Sudowoodo, being the imitator it is, becomes a copycat (1) and copies Politoed’s surf. Togekiss, Rubyzard and Charzezard decide to fly (2)(1)(1) out of the way of the waves while Blaziken bounces (1) high into the air.

Togepi, being the crafty thing it is, baton passes (1) Charzezard and is able to land on the flame Pokemon's back as it takes off.

Quilava tries to home in on the flying Rubyzard to escape his watery doom but fails to do so since Rubyzard is far too high in the air. Both it and poor Arbok get hit by both waves while Crustle, Infernape and Yanmega decide to protect (1)(1)(1) themselves from the first surf but get swept away by the second.

Blaziken then proceeds to land on Politoed but the frog protects (2) itself from harm.

Arbok decides to call in the rain gods by doing a dance (2). Quilava, feeling bad for itself and its fire-typed brethren, decides to turn the day sunny (1) and in a final ditch attempt tries for a reversal (2) against Politoed, who protects (3).

Infernape tries to get its revenge against the frog that started it all by launching a powerful solarbeam (2) which hits, sending Politoed sprawling, but the frog picks itself back up, looking healthy.

Sudowoodo then adds to the chaos by letting loose a rock typed hidden power (2) which both Blaziken and Crustle counter with their own rock typed hidden power (2)(2) while Infernape protects (3) the first one but gets hit by the rest. Everyone else except the fliers gets hit by all three hidden powers.

    QUILAVA HAS FAINTED
    POLITOED HAS FAINTED
    YANMEGA HAS FAINTED

Sudwoodo shakes it’s tree-like hand at those flying up above, then does a cheerleader wave, laughing at those who thought he would do something else, and decides to polish its rocky (3) body. Rubyzard decides to land and proceeds to create some wind near its tail (3) as Crustle smashes its shell (3). Togekiss finally decides to activate its ability.

Sudowoodo, Togekiss and Crustle all then try to catch their own Rattata but the ball breaks for all three of them on the second shake and the Pokémon runs away. From the air, Togepi throws its Pokeball at a Rattata and hears a clicking metal sound. However, a Fearow flies by and gets captured by the Pokeball instead. Togepi catches the Pokeball in mid-air and adds the ball to its nonexistent belt. Rubyzard tries catching a Makuhita but fails when the ball breaks open after the second shake. Infernape’s Pokeball breaks after 2 shakes after throwing it at a Shinx. The pokeballs that were not used suddenly malfunction in the hands of their owners, causing them to be unusable. Annoyed, the owners toss them to the ground.

Sho watched the mayhem and whistled. “Some Old Horses Can Always Hear Their Owners Approach. Let’s see if I can multiply the chaos by adding to the equation…”

He shouted to the rumblers, “Hey you zetta sons of digits! Let’s see if you can get your desired solution with these values!”

Sho grabbed a handful of random pokeballs from his pile and threw them to the rumblers. Sudowoodo got a Master Ball, both Crustle and Blaziken each got a Great Ball, Infernape got a Premer Ball, and everyone else got a normal Pokeball.

    ~Announcements~
1.) If I made a mistake in any way, just tell me and I'll edit this.
2.) First time trying to ref. Hopefully I did good.

    ~Current Stage~
    Gotta Catch ‘Em All

You want to be the very best like no one ever was. To catch them is your real test, to train them is your cause. You are in the theme of Pokemon, don’t ask how. The area is simple, just a large grassy area, trimmed to look like a pokeball. Speaking of pokeballs, that’s what you will be using this stage.

See, catching them all is easy for trainers…but not so much for pokemon. There are multiple pokemon roaming around in the grass. Your goal is to catch them, but to do that, you need a pokeball. You are given a Pokeball every turn, but it only has a 1/5 catch rate. To get the other, better balls you have to do damage.

Premier Ball – Ľ Catch Rate – 25 damage in one turn
Great Ball – 1/3 Catch Rate – 50 damage in one turn
Ultra Ball – ˝ Catch Rate – 75 damage in one turn
Master Ball – 100% Catch Rate – 100 damage in one turn

The ball is given to you at the end of the turn, if you do the correct amount of damage. You can’t use the ball again after using it. To use it, specify in your command that you are to use the ball and you can catch one of the following pokemon. The ref will put 1-20 in the RNG, and the number it lands on will be the pokemon you obtain.

1-5 – Ratatta – Will do 5 damage to anyone who does not have a pokemon every turn
6-9 – Shinx – Will charge every attack you use, giving it a 1/5 chance of causing paralysis every turn.
10-12 – Mime Jr. – Will do a random dance every turn(Dragon Dance, Featherdance, Quiver Dance, Rain Dance, Swords Dance, Teeter Dance) on the user.
13-15 – Audino – Will grant you a ball for half of the required damage if caught.
16-17 – Makuhita – Gives a +5 attack boost every turn. Attack boosts disappear when the stage changes.
18-19 – Fearow – Uses a weak Tailwind every turn to give you +1 speed.
20 – Salamence – Does 10 damage to everyone regardless of resistance or weakness.
Yes, once you catch a pokemon they stay with you until the stage changes. Of course, tradition dictates you can only have 6 pokemon as your max. Also, you can have one of your pokemon challenge another person’s pokemon. Those two pokemon will battle and the RNG will decide the winner. The loser faints and is rendered unusable.

Of course, if you do manage the incredible feat of catching ‘em all, you’ll get complete immunity from attacks until the stage change(Of course, you wouldn’t be able to attack though.)

    ~Field Effects~
Togepi has a Fearow, everyone else has no Pokémon.
Sudowoodo has a Master Ball, Blaziken and Crustle each have a Great Ball, Infernape has a Premier Ball, everyone else has a Pokeball.
    Sunny – Quilava’s Sunny Day

    ~Items On Field~
    Various balls(see stage)

    ~Protect Bar~
    Togepi - 5
    Rubyzard - 5
    Togekiss - 5
    Sudowoodo - 5
    Crustle - 4
    Arbok - 5
    Infernape - 3
    Charzezard - 5
    Blaziken - 5

    ~Referee Comments~
This reffing was bought to you by The World Ends With You. The World Ends With You, watch an angsty, antisocial, anorexic teenager kill a couple of crazy people and become friends with a couple others. Oh and there’s pins. Lots of pins.
Yanmega: Sigh, what can I say. You tried to defend but screwed yourself over in the end.
Togepi: What happened was a little different than what you planned, but it worked out alright, no? Really didn’t need all those failsafes either. Make sure you use your newly caught Fearow to your advantage.
Rubyzard: You could have used the second part of your Fly to do some damage, but you elected not to. At least you have your speed boost now.
Togekiss: You avoided the chaos the easiest way possible. You get a slow clap. You’re also in a very good position to win this.
Sudowoodo: You really caused some mayhem this turn and you also got yourself a Master Ball in the process. Hope you get something good with it.
Crustle: You did the best you could defensively. Now use your boost as best as possible.
Arbok:You could have spent your first move defending yourself from the surfs but instead, you chose to Coil, should have done something else. Be glad Rain Dance didn’t happen before the surfs; you would have probably been knocked out in that case.
Politoed: You started out strong but got hurt real bad in the end. Perhaps you shouldn’t have used all those Protects.
Quilava: I recommend you learn to failsafe. Have a command ready just in case one doesn’t work. If you had done that, you could have both taken less damage from the surfs, and survived the hidden power onslaught. Finally, single targeting moves are risky early on, because others can take the time to hurt you with another move. Only use it when you know it will work or failsafe.
Infernape: The thing with Protect is that in a chain, it only protects one of the attacks in it, not all of them, which is why you got hit by both surfs. Also find ways to counter moves, rather than just protecting them. You only get 5 protects per round, use them wisely.
Charzezard: Octo’s command was a really grey area, and you probably didn’t expect that outcome. You pulled through alright though.
Blaziken: Nothing say really, you played very defensively.

Annoying commands, eh? I do really like to be sure I'm safe. Plus, being tough to read can make me a less sure target. Confusion fu, you know.

If togepi has to tell fearow to tailwind it, togepi does that. If not, togepi just stays on Charzezard, and waves to its evolved form.

    "Toki toki brrrrrrrrrreeeee!!!"

    Uh, right.

Arbok, toss that Pokeball at a random Poke in the grass, then use Dig to burrow as far down as you can, and make a nice little underground hovel to Rest in.

Infernape, ONLY if you have a move left use your own Heat Wave to counter the Heat Wave. If that is impossible then try to escape it and even if that is not possible then just take it (You're a Fire type! It shouldn't hurt much!)

    I have claimed the Pigs!
