Am I the only one hoping that the VI Gen starters have a signature move this time? I mean Tepig and its family is the only starter with a signature move..

Just a thought but I kinda wish Flame Burst was released in the 6th Gen as Fennekin's signature move. Because Fennec Foxes dissipate heat from their ears that would have been a bit more interesting to see in the animations. xD

My assumption of what fennekin will become. Pretty much a Special Serperior. High speed and Very Decent Special Attack and Defense.
For some reason I think GF knows how gamers mostly wanted a Fire/Psychic going into Gen 5. They gave us Victini and made him event exclusive which in my opinion was a way of them kind of saying "You want it so bad then go out and get it"
Im also sure that they tracked the downloads too.
However I think that they will tease us with Psychic (I dont see why the trailer would showcase a psychic move against Kirlia, while "Night Slash" would be super effed against Golurk, and "Close Combat" with patrat) I dont believe those were the actual moves but I do think that the pokemon chosen as opponents were hints.
I think GF will throw us for a loop on Fennekin (pretty sure that in design they had a pretty good idea that it would be a fan favorite) and make him Ghost.

I sort of want to see Chespin evolve into a big badass version of this thing (puna haired armadillo):

    Snivy had Leaf Tornado.
    Oshawott had Razor Shell.

Lots of starters have signature moves.
    Turtwig: Leaf Storm
    Treecko: Leaf Blade
Torhic: Blaze Kick (arguably Sky Uppercut)
    Mudkip: Muddy Water

I like all those moves at lot, I just didn't like the fact that other Pokemon can learn them as well. But, it happens. :/

Im also picking Froakie. When I first saw him he just seemed right. This is actually the first SLIM frog we have had. The Poliwag lines closest relation is being blue. They are blue blobs with hypnotic spirals and boxing gloves...
Then GF tried to make up for their frogs not looking froggy with politoed.
Then GF gave the tadpole idea a run with tympole then palpitoad and then the monstrous bulbous Seismitoad.

Well, in their respective gens, they WERE signature moves. In the third gen, NO other Pokemon could learn Leaf Blade, Blaze Kick, and Muddy Water. Here's a list to prove it.

And you're correct that Snivy and Oshawott's moves were not unique to them. I didn't know that's what you meant at first.

Your posts always crack me up lol.
Only time I've ever cried in Pokemon; when Ash took over command of Chimchar in the Tag Team Tournament. That's when I started to love Chimchar & Monferno Lol keep in mind I was 9

If you think the Sinnoh saga has been the best saga of the whole show, copy and paste this into your signature! (started by FlameRose)

If you think that it's unfair that Ash finds starters in the wild and we can't, copy and paste this into your siggy! (started by zebbystrika)

I just love that Fennekin keeps getting votes and is slaying left and right. It's not often that a Starter Pokemon gains this type of popularity; people usually wait until the evolved forms of the Starter Pokemon are revealed before choosing a favorite. Perhaps this is a sign that base form Pokemon are finally getting the recognition that they so rightfully deserve.

Actually, certain starter Pokemon always get a lot of love. I think you could have put a similar poll up before any gen (and we probably had them) and Pokemon would still get votes.

^ That's true. And the most popular starter is always Fire, with the sole exception of Snivy.

Actually I think that charmender is the only favorite fire starter before fennekin..
    1st gen Charmender
    2nd gen Totodile
    3rd gen Treecko
4th gen all 3 were equally beautiful/ugly (depends on points of view)
5th gen Snivy with Oshawott being the most funny.
    6th gen Fennekin

Not my personal list.. (Charmender; Totodile; Mudkip; Turtwig; Oshawott; Froakie).

Dude, just letting you know that if you trade Oshawott for Tepig, our lists are identical.

    Charmander
    Cyndaquil
Torchic (Treecko was a REALLY close second though)
    Chimchar (Well daaa)
Tepig (Snivy was a REALLY close second too)
Fennekin - I mean Chespin. Unfortunately, I broke my Fire-Type reign Though, I probably need to wait until the evos to judge the Gen 6 starters.

    Gen II Cyndaquil
    Gen III Treecko
Gen IV None of them really strongly, but if I had to pick then Chimchar
Gen V Unfortunately, Tepig, though Oshawatt is pretty good too.
    Gen VI No opinion yet.
