Sure I would get it if Froakie was an Ice/water mix but looking at Fennekin, I'm having a hard time imagining what other abilities he would have. Then again their evolution may reveal their second type.
game freak has done that so many times i think with the way they did BW2 proves they can change the way they operate.
so honestly i hope they are dual type because pure typing is just stale

i love this set and assuming he is physically based, i would assume he could use aqua tail (that is if his full evo has a tail)

For Froakie, I suggest you replace Waterfall with Dive. For Chespin add solar beam, it is possilbe it learns through tm. Also the moveset for Chespin is too heavily physical. Even if Chespin is physical, it should have some special offensive room.

Replace Waterfall with something else(new move). I think it'd be cool if Froakie got Aura Sphere to make it unique in a way.

For Chespin just add Solarbeam and replace Rock Slide/Double Edge for Night Slash. And maybe add a couple Sp Attacks and swap Vine Whip for RazorLeaf/ add RL.

Chespin need a stronger Rapid Spin move...well something in his move pool has to be rolled up into a ball related. Whether it be Rollout, Defense Curl or Gyro ball..

Rapid Spin just needs a better distribution overall. Not many are able to spin hazards in the competitive scene and a few like Torkoal and Delibird aren't too nice personally.

And what about Pin Missle? It has those spikes for shooting them.

Or I could just use my reliable STAB or a Frillish/Jellicent to get the job done.

Pin missile would need a buff to even be usable. That and twin needle.

I'm assuming nobody noticed that this movepool had an awful lot of physical fighting and fire type moves (*cough*fire/fighting type set *cough*).

Not that I have a problem with it.

I think many people just blinded themselves to my post to keep themselves from seeing the light

I think the final types shoudl be

    Grass/Rock
    Fire/Fighting
    Water/Ground

    My opinions are:

Chespin: grass/ground -> learn some dark move by level up like sucker punch, night slash or a new move

    HP: 85
    Attack: 107
    Def: 92
    S.Attack: 94
    S.Def: 80
    Speed: 70

    Fennekin: fire/psyquic

    HP: 74
    Attack: 82
    Def: 63
    S.Attack: 114
    S.Def: 90
    Speed: 111

Froakie: water/fighting -> learn a ice move by level up, like icy wind or something new

    HP: 80
    Attack: 106
    Def: 85
    S.Attack: 92
    S.Def: 86
    Speed: 81

That doesn't help. Pin Missle sucks, even when compared to other 5-hitting moves. Their BP is 25, Pin missle is 15.

Even with Skill Link 15x5 = 75, making it only slightly stronger than U-Turn, still weaker than Technician boosted bug Bite. But don't forget it's crappy 85% accuracy.

well i know but if it is a pin based pokemon it makes sense to know it and technician boosted bug bite does destroy and i abuse it with scyther a lot
but level up moves usually are based off of the pokemons appearance
so it knowing pin missle is plausible

Needle Arm would be a plausible move for Chespin's 1st evolution, perhaps right after it evolves. I'm assuming, of course, that they break tradition by giving the move to a non-cactus Pokemon.

Chespin getting Pin Missle is plausible. Needle Arm, I think it's plausible too, but isn't that a bit too overpowered. I mean, base 60 is fine, but 30% chance to flinch? yeah...

Piplup gets metal claw upon evolution, and it was 50 damage and 95% accuracy. Snivy got Leaf Tornado when evolving. I know it has 65 Base Power, but it also has 90% accuracy and lowering accuracy isn't as bad as flinching. Pignite gets Arm Thrust, which has an errentic power. I have to say Oshawott's evolution move is a bit op, like 50% chance to lower defense and 75 power... lol. But yeah, I like the balance. Around 50~60 as an evolution move is the best for me in balance.

As for Chespin, I'm thinking it might get Sand Rush as a Dream World Ability, and it'll turn out Grass/Ground since it IS a Grass Hedgehog.

Anyone want to guess Dex descriptions? I would but I generally suck at stuff so yeah........

    Fennekin: The fire fox Pokemon

Fennekin is native to arid deserts and is mainly nocturnal, it has powerful front claws which it uses to burrow. It can burrow at incredible speeds and loves to live in the sand tunnels it digs up.

    I know it's horrible.
