Fire/Dark would have been interesting. I think at this point %99.9 of people just want ANYTHING but Fire/Fighting.

but i really would like to see chespin become grass/dark and learn lots of slashing moves and become sort of a ninja type deal
it could learn things like grasswhistle and nightslash

Fennekin:fire/psychic with high sp atk and sp def
Froakie:water/fighting kind of like a water infernape or water/electric heavy bulky thundering monster frog

I don't see that. Chespin don't even have arms that could hurt something, and Froakie doesn't have anything that resembles something electric imo.

I see Chespin becoming Grass/Dark or Grass/Ground, and Froakie becoming Water/Ice or just pure Water. I don't want him to become Fighting, aka human-like :/
Other than Fire/Psychic, Fire/Ghost is a very possible combination that people should consider too, because of Kitsunes.

He uses a move that looks like Night Slash in the trailer, that's why people are considering Dark as a possible second type.

Not all dark pokemon look miserable or evil, look at Umbreon as a basic example.

Isn't strange that we finally have two starter pokemon in the same generation have their names begin with a common letter "F". Perhaps two or three evolved pokemon will have the same letter in the names.

I've seen a lot of speculation towards Grass/Dark, Fire/Psychic and Water/Fighting, which I have absolutely no problem with, because my favourite is Froakie and my favourite type is Fighting.

But yeah, these three all look great! I can't remember a Gen where all three starters appealed to my visually, I normally dislike the Grass type one (ugh, grass type). But Chespin is really great! Fennekin is also awesome. As I said I am leaning strongly towards Froakie though, and if he ends up part Fighting I'll be sold.

To be honest, the first letter doesn't count for me, it's the last syllable. ChespIN, FennekIN. The names are good, just the ''ins'' bug be a little.
I'm happy that ALL the starters look great this time around. It was the complete opposite for 5th Generation.

I'd really like froakie to be ice typed as its dual.
Would be great, since I love ice types.
And designs wise.
If he's fighting typed I'd like him to stay skinny like infernape
But something different, his foam his his most obvious feature, his main feature like chespins hat and feenekins ears, all those features will be a big influence on how they eevolve.

Infernape is only 3'11. I don't see fennekin becoming taller than infernape unless it goes all arcanine on us

I've always picked the water starters (Except Gen 4 I picked Turtwig) and this Gen will be the same, I'm definitely leaning towards Froakie but I'll have to see what evolved forms look like first but currently I like all the starters designs.

Dunsparce actually isn't that bad, Luvdisc is worse, in my opinion.
I'm leaning on Froakie for my starter.
