If on the GTS you recieved a lv 100 mightyena named Xigbar that had crunch, shadow ball, dig and hyper beam-I traded him without knowing how the GTS works-are willing to trade nearly anything I have for it back.

I can definitely see what you mean. I guess it makes sense, since Fennec Foxes are desert animals. Although I don't think that white tuft means anything (other than that Fennekin is cute).
Since the region is based on France, maybe it'll become a Can-Can dancer.

I kinda think Froakie will end up kinda fat looking. I mean it's a frog. In a region based on France, no less. And we know what the french do with frogs...
Seriously though, I just can't imagine Froakie being slim. The white thing on it's back looks kinda like a cloud, maybe it'll end up looking kinda like those frog-gods from Wind Waker.

I thought the same. But I think a good alternative for the clud-like appendage on Froakie's neck could be some sort of cape. Like all starters, I think the cape examplifies royalty, or in combat, swiftness, and the cape grows longer as Froakie evolves (hypothetically).
As it's final evolution, I think Froakie would look like some sort of vagabound with a rather serious glance similar to Samurott's or Empoleon's.

Actually, the only type Ice resists is itself. He'd still be hit by grass super-effectively, although he could hit it SE too if that's what you meant.
Fennekin as a ground-type actually makes sense though. Fennec Foxes are desert animals, after all.

Except Grass does neutral damage to Ice! I think Froaki will evolve into a gentleman type frog, becoming Water/Electric and be based of Benjamin Franklin/Zeus.

Why not? They've done a variety of type combinations already. There's the Sinnoh starters, the fire/fighting types, Bulbasaur, Swampert being water/ground, and Charizard being fire/flying. I don't think it's so farfetch'd to think that there might be a water/electric starter. If not this gen, maybe next gen. If Froakie turns out to be water/electric, I may have to reconsider choosing Chespin as my starter. It's gonna have to also depend what type Chespin turns out to be.
