My ultimate want is an uncloned shiny jirachi, if you have one, please tell me so I'm always extremely interested in other uncloned shiny event pokemon/shinies in general, so PM me if you want to trade

    2. Totodile
    3. Treecko
    4. Piplup
    5. Oshawott
    6. Fennekin

Gens 1-4 were actually pretty tough. I like most of the starters from the first 4 gens.

Gen 5, meh. Gen 6... too early, but just by looking at design, I like Fennekin the best.

Either way I still think all the starters are great, Fennekin is just the best.

So what learn up moves should the starters have?

    grblortmle...

Anyways, I'd bet a typical set with blahbiblah moves at first, and good moves later.

Oh god, are they watching us type here somehow? I feel as if anyone who has Anatidaephobia now is on the Fennekin side to stay away from the ducks. (couldn't resist with you sig)

I personally think at first they should all get the basic absorb, ember, water gun move. Otherwise I can only hope for Chespin to gain some dark moves, Fennekin to get some psychic moves, and Froakie to get some fighting moves.

    You think Chespin will be that grass starter that can't learn leech seed in any way possible? I mean up til now every starter can learn it.. kinda like Bulbasaur, Chikorita and Snivy are the only grass starters to learn vine whip. Or how how Bulba,Chiko,Turt are the only ones to learn razor leaf... there has to be some first grass type move that they learn is different.. if that makes sense. miju ^^;

I...can't see Chespin learning absorb. But maybe that's just me.

I'd like to see them learn their uuber moves really early. Like, before they evolve at all. Chespin learns leave blade at level 13, Fennekin gets flamethrower at 12, and the Surf HM is gained before the second gym. Just because it would make people go "What is this, I don't even..."

Never happen, but it would be both cool and hilarious.

Then when they get to their later levels and evolved forms, they get vine whip, water gun, and ember at levels 52, 55, and 57 respectfully.

But then, if you stick it out till the 70s, they get their signature moves, which are the REAL great moves that you never expected. Pyro Flare, Fire, 100 BP, 15% chance burn and 15% chance paralysis, 100 Acc. Oak Sword, Grass 80 BP, priority, 100 Acc. And Eerie Fog (I'm still going with the Water/Ghost Wizard Frog idea), Water, 100 BP, 30% chance paralysis.
This is me. This is my team. Fear our wrath.

Or Chespin could have the shell become some sort of spinning thing, as in Che-spin. Heh.

Anyways, just because I like comparing, favorite starters:
    Gen 1: Bulbasaur
    Gen 2: Chikorita
Gen 3: Torchic OR Mudkip. I dunno. I loved all the starters in this gen. Perhaps Torchic wins out just by a little because it was my first starter...
    Gen 4: Turtwig.
    Gen 5: Oshawott
    Gen 6: Chespin

Obviously, my likes are based on final evos too, and if Froakie's just too epic, I might change...but, yep, there's my favorite starters.

    Or: Grass/Grass/Fire/Grass/Water/Grass

Though I think this is a bit unfair, since though Grass is great, I always love every single water starter too, barring Squirtle. It's always a close contest between Grass or Water :P

Obviously, it's too early, but I think Froakie and Chespin both look pretty cool. Fennekin? Bah. I hate it's design...I mean perhaps a bit cute but...blah. Too bland for my tastes. Oh well...

    2. Totodile
    3. Mudkip
    4. Piplup
    5. Oshawott, but Emboar and Serperior for final evo
    6. So far 50% for Froakie, 40% for Fennekin, 10% for Chespin (changeable)

Hmmm. interesting thought. See, I dont see chespin learning anything like Absorb or Giga Drain. Most pokemon that learn these moves are either Parasites, or are based on a plant that leeches off of other life forms. Chespin is a hedgehog, beaver thing, and neither animal leeches off anything. I can see Chespin still learning leech seed though, do to its name relating to a Chestnut.

I guess since enough people are doing it I'll join the bandwagon and say my favorite starters for each gen on here.

Gen I: Bulbasaur (I'm in the minority)
    Gen II: Totodile
    Gen III: Torchic (Treecko close)
    Gen IV: Pipulp (Chimchar close)
    Gen V: Oshawott (Snivy close)
Gen VI: Fennekin (but I REALLY like the other starters too, just not as much)

As you can see I'm very diverse in my tastes of starters. I just judge them on both appearance and personal experience with said starter.

    Thinking about Alpha Sapphire:

Trainers from Bulbapedia (Kris from Spriters Resource),
Gen I-IV Pokemon from The Spriters Resource, Gen 5 Pokemon from
cSandoval on DeviantArt, Serena from tebited15 on Deviant Art,
    Gen III Pokemon from Bulbapedia

    Gen I: Squirtle
    Gen II: Cyndaquil
    Gen III: Torchic
    Gen IV: Piplup
    Gen V: Oshawott
Gen VI: Tempted for either Chespin or Fennekin, as Froakie sounds/looks ridiculous. Saying that though, i'd like to see the final evo's first.

I'm really not a grassy person.
