A lot more than the rest now at this stage....
That foam on his back could resemble a cloud

i see being part dark is more likely but poison would be kind of cool

i still do not see it being flying
i mean foam and a cloud are two completely different things
flying would still be a big stretch
i mean at least fighting makes more sense

Mr. Yveltal96, do want the same discussion that lasted a page long?
Froakie could easily be a Water/Flying, but it might not be.
    Page 435 to be exact.

    Yeah, I do.
    But this my opinion, too.
Froakie could be Water/Flying, that's my opinion.
People who made The Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker thought Frogs could Fly.

This is still Nintendo, they could do it again, but with a different series.
I would like to see Water/Fighting, but I don't want it to be a clone of Poliwrath.
That is why a Water/Flying would be a better choice, at least it would be better to me.

    no this is Game Freak
    Nintendo just publishes it
and water/flying has been done with gyrados, pelliper, and swanna

Last time I checked, none are those are Frogs.
A Flying Froakie would be helpful to learn many HM moves, not necessarily going to do that if Froakie is Water/Flying.
Poliwrath and Froakie are both Frogs/Toads, same typing wouldn't be very good.
But I guess you could say the samething about Fennekin and Ninetales.

    i...never said they were?
and also a water/fighting froakie can also learn lots of HM moves
i could see him learning every HM except fly
which i don't mind anyways because there are very strong birds such as braviary and staraptor i could use

Seriously. A clone of Poliwrath. Look at Froakie, now look at Poliwrath, now back at Froakie. See any similarities... no, neither did I.

Honestly, if Froakie were given the water/fighting typing, he could 100% look entirely different from Poliwrath. Froakie is a frog for crying out loud. If there's any similarities between the frog/toad based pokemon we have its with the Croagunk line.

That goes for the other two starters as well.

*They did fire/fighting three times in a row, but do any of them look alike?

    thank you!
besides keldeo looks nothing like poliwrath
    they are both water/fighting
why would froakie look like poliwrath?
if anything he would look more similar to either seismitoad or toxicroak

Braviary and Staraptor might not be in the Game.
If Defog or Flash came back (Which I don't want to see), Froakie wouldn't learn that as a Fighting-Type.
Flying Froakie would learn both of those moves easily.

    rufflet was in the commercial
and defog better not come back or i will be so pissed
besides all water types can learn it
what would being part fighting change?
and how would a flying type learn flash exactly

Froakie does have that foam-clould like collar on its neck so it could be like Whimsicott where it can fly in the air (though the Cottonee line isn't Flying type) but my money is on Water/Fighting.

    Uh... I don't know.
But my point is, We've had 3 starters being Fighting-Types, I don't want to see another for a long.

    they were fire though
and besides i have always wanted a water/fighting starter
it is a fun offensive combo and IMO gyrados would be a better water/flying poke that froakie

You do realize that flash lost its HM status a long time ago?

I may be kind of late for this talk, but here are my toughts:

    Fennekin:
Cute! <3 I'm over Fire/Fighting starters too (Blaziken is the only good one), but I just CAN'T see Fennekin turning into a fighter bipedal fox. IMO it's going to stay graceful and pretty.

    Froakie:
Froakie is really cool! He is the one that I have the most doubts about: is it going to be a giant fat frog? An athletic one? The white cloud/snow things are saying Water/Ice? Maybe Water/Flying? Water/Fighting seems possible too.

    Chespin:
Chespin is adorable but the shell thinguy in his head is so going to be an armor... I guess they are turning the Grass starter in the slow with high defenses one again.

i think a fire/psychic fennekin would fit your expectations then :3
but i think him being bipedal would still be graceful with the physique of say lucario or zoroark
also i still do not think chespin will be slow
i am expecting him to be part dark and learn a lot of slashing moves
    hopefully being semi speedy

Yup, I guess it's out best bet since it was using a Psychic move in the trailer. n_n'

    Your idea about Grass/Dark starter is interesting! I just hope that his shell stays little and doesn't take over his body. ;_;

yeah i really hope his shell thingy doesn't get too big
i made a move set for a chespin evo that is sort of assassin based

    Start: Leer
    level 7: Vine Whip
    level 9: Growth
    level 11: Knock Off
    level 13: Scary Face
    level16: Needle Arm
    level 20: Assurance
    level 24: Double Team
    level 28: Bite
level 32: *new grass move (needle tail?)*
    level 38: Leaf Blade
    level 44: Night Slash
    level 50: *new dark move*
    level 52: Swords Dance
    level 56: GrassWhistle

that move was either psywave or psychic
besides durant lives in a desert region as well and as i recall he is steel
so just because you are from a desert region doesn't mean you have to be part ground
    Maractus: Grass
    Cacturne: Grass/Dark
Just like Chespin attack was surely nightslash like everyone though not more than two weeks ago. No you are wrong, Durant live in mountains. Even if it did live in mountains it would make sense to be steel bug because ants and it has a steel case around it's body. Cacturne is a cactus and has no attributes of ground, hence why it's not a ground type/ Just because you don't think it's gonna happen doesn't mean you can just discard it and tell people it won't happen.

I also doubt it was using psychic. It's probably more of a confusion/psywave than psychic as well, just because those attacks aren't ridiculous on a pure fire stage one Pokemon. If it was even that.

and fennekin is a fox with no attributes of a ground type
and cacti are also in the desert and according to your logic that means he should be ground type as well
