For sure, for sure. I guess all I can do now is wait for my game then play it non stop until my eyes bleed, then I will learn of this trio and the mew clone

An event Legendary in the vein of Mew, Celebi, Jirachi and the rest is likely, but beyond that, it's anyone's guess. The respective trios from each region have always preceded the box Legendaries, and there are no such critters to be found in the Kalos Pokédex(es).

Exactly. I think we'll have just some three event legendaries, that this time will remain a secret until GF decides to reveal them (which is what they were always supposed to work like).

Hmmm.... Zygarde is definitely interesting, especially since it looks so sinister but is actually good (apparently ?). Anyway, I'm interested to see it's backstory and how it ties in with Xerneas and Yveltal. I also like the design, not as much as Xerneas and Yveltal yet, but that' probably because it hasn't grew as much on me on me yet .

The only thing that purplexes is it's typing. The dragon makes sense I guess because it's serpentine but it looks more insectoid and Ground is the last type I would have thought at looking at it...Oh well.

Think of it as Yveltal representing the skies, Xerneas the forests (or the surface or however you want to style it) and Zygarde the underground. The bugger does live deep in a cave, and just as the Y-axis is vertical ("rise", like a bird) and the X-axis is horizontal ("run", like a deer), the Z-axis on a 3D graph is the "depth" axis, as in the depths of the earth.

Ah. That makes more sense now. Meh, I only wish that represented more in it's design I still think it looks like a Bug type.

Animals that have evolved and developed to live in darkness don't have eyes (examples ahoy). Zygarde doesn't appear to have visible eyes, or if it does, they're small and/or vestigal.

Don't take the in-game size so seriously. It's scaled anyways.

Dex says it's 16'08 and 672 pounds. So it's pretty big.

A snake is going to have a bug type? Doesn't really make sense.

    Poison/Dragon would've been better though.

Do we have any dex entries about Xerneas and Yveltal? I'm curious to see them. Do we know what Geomancy does yet....?

Let's compare that with normal Mewtwo with a Modest Nature and 31 IVs across the board:
    HP 250
    Atk 162
    Def 152
    Sp Atk 266
    Sp Def 152
    Speed 208

It could be a Hasty Nature which has 136 Defense and 228 Speed. Not entirely sure. But we do know it has more Attack, Special Attack and Special Defense!

To be fair, height for serpentine Pokes in the Dex is generally their length.

well, interesting. zygarde is dragon/ground. xerneas (fairy) is immune to dragon and yveltal (dark/flying) is immune to ground. what does this imply?

I hadn't noticed that. Wow, that's just bullying.

Maybe it means it will get a new Forme?

It'll most likely get something, considering how underwhelming its base stats are looking.

Well to be fair, Zygarde's ability makes Xerneas and Yveltal's abilities turn essentially useless. Lowering the power of their main stabs? Owch.

Though I do expect Zygarde getting another form like Giratina and Kyurem. Didn't kyurem have that weird bit of code in b/w implying it had room for a form or two?

Xerneas probably learns ice beam though...like in that trailer...

I don't recall if the code specifically indicated that there were Formes ahead for Kyurem - or that we were able to accurately interpret them as such if it did - but it definitely indicated that there would be more to the beast than just what we saw in B/W.

Remember, though, that we can't see into the inner workings of X/Y in that same fashion (yet) and so if there are similar indications about Zygarde, we won't know of them.

We won't know if there is a pixie until Nintendo officially confirms it. Seeing as it is difficult/impossible to hack a 3DS ROM at the moment.

Remember that we can't see event Legendaries. Almost certainly National #720 and perhaps more, following Zygarde, is/are the Kalos equivalent, they're simply hidden from us at this stage. Just like they were always meant to be.
