I dunno, but previous generations I really liked going searching and catching legendaries, so it was a bit of a letdown knowing that only Xerneas (I have X) and Zygarde were the only new ones around.
I don't view 13 as a lot at all, IMO, Gen IV's number of 14 was absolutely perfect to me.

Yes, it's more or less like Gen II in that something new was introduced that had to do with it, and such elss were actually introduced?

Well, Mewtwo has a Mega Form, at least.

Guys, just a reminder: Please don't discuss different regions, remakes, whatever. This thread is for discussing the Kalos region.

Ironically I took French...Now I have a Good Reason to Use it xD
    The game's locations were great.
But, did anyone find it a little too easy?
Also I have a problem of running low on funds.
FOR $80,000 YOU CAN BUY A FEDORA. FOR $80,000 I CAN GO TO COLLEGE?! WTF IS UP WITH THAT??

Cash is easy to come by in the games. Either the battle chatuae, or the restarunts. Use the amulet coin and prize money o-power.

Yeah, the restaurants are the place I go to for training and money. Best place. Then the Central Area of Lumiose is the best place for hatching (Especially when you put a coin under your circle pad to make it constantly turn! It's nice to see that you really can get/do most things in one city this time around!

In the original Japanese version Pokédollars are yen, so it is really around 820 dollars.

    Not that that's cheap.

So what's a fake Japanese currency doing in an pseudo-European setting? KANTO CURRENCY RULES THE WORLD.

This is kinda random, but that very upbeat music that plays in the small passage between the very first town and the place where you meet your rivals and friends for the first time...does it play anywhere else? I really liked it.

Nope. That is Route 1's theme and it's only played there. It has a day and night version though.

I think the area around Ambrette town might just be my favorite area in the region. The cliffs are soooo good.
To right the countless wrongs of our day, we shine this light of true redemption, that this place may become as paradise. What a wonderful world such would be...

My favorite would have to be either Route 21, Team Flare's Battle Music, or the Gym Leader's Battle Music. All of them are awesome, though. I think that every piece of music from this game sets the tone for wherever you are.

Except for the haunted house. That's just boring...

So the Music Difference from DPPt finally returned?

Or is it just that Route?

That's the only route with known day/night difference. I haven't really bothered listening to other routes and cities.

I haven't noticed any differences from playing, but they could be very subtle.

I forgot to mention this, but while the scenery porn impressed me, it never really shocked me.

...until I got to the 7th gym.

I was seriously just flat out blow away when I stepped on the middle tile and the thing just blew away and revealed the stars.

    Such beauty god damn.

That was a pretty impressive effect. Overall I feel like they did a good job on the environment as a whole, it looks incredibly good.

Kalos is now my favorite region. It has personality. The locations feel realistic and yet have personality to them that makes them memorable, and yet again we have a region with caves that don't suck too.

Yeah, but that's true of most large cities, lol. I moved to Fargo, ND a month or so ago, and I got so badly lost trying to get to a Noodles and Co...

Has anyone found this regions grave site yet? They have a "haunted" house and spooky forest area.... But I love have there seems to be a towns loosely based off each season in this game and the over all graphic boost to the game.

I'd say only Route 10 qualifies for that, since Route 10 is filled with those rocks, which are apparently greaves.

There are actually some graves on Route 14, as well.

Slightly south of the "haunted" house, to be specific.
