Look how it moves in the 3D games. It hops around just like a kangaroo. It's body structure resembles one too.

I guess, It's head resembles Pauly D's haircut though.

Well, Raikou is a lot like a saber tooth, Mamoswine is supposed to be a mammoth (its pokedex description even mentions that they were more common during the ice age), and the gen 4 fossil Pokemon are dinosaurs: a triceratops and a pachycephalosaurus.

I know that they are a mammoth and a saber tooth tiger, but I was talking about fossils. And we have never seen for instance a T-Rex pokemon, or one that actuallly looks like a triceratops.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add something, maybe we should have like a Dolphin pokémon(can't think of much there), that or a caveman pokémon that would be a fossil or a psudo legendary. Its ability would raise its attack when around fire/electric types and it would be a rock/fighting/normal type.

A dolphin pokemon NEEDS TO BE HERE!
I imagine it should start out as a Guppy, evolve into a Dolphin, and then again into a Narwhal!

An ice cream cake Pokemon makes sense.

That'd be uber cute<3 Though I wouldn't like it to be connected to the Vannilux evo-line (like someone else stated >.<)

There is nothing wrong with "food" pokemon. They have just as much a right to be a pokemon as the inanimate objects do.

The real issue here is how they design the Pokemon. Vanillite's design is okay. The evolutions' designs are kinda bad.

There is nothing wrong with "food" pokemon. They have just as much a right to be a pokemon as the inanimate objects do.

I agree, it doesn't matter what it's based on, but it's the design, it has to capture the object's looks and make it unique without going overboard.

But then again, Vanillite's family was invented by someone non Japanese...

Beautiful indeed, I love it too. Though in my personal opinion it looks a bit like Magnadramon mixed with Cherubimon

That is amazing. I can see it as pink or blue.. And this evolution would give me more of a reason to catch Dratini and not just for dragonite.
And I think it would need an item to evolve, not a level.

Yeah. I like Dragonaor over Dragonite. I've always hated Dragonite for some reason. Especially female ones xD But I guess I hate him because poor Dragonair doesn't get a suitable female evo...D:

This is the type of attitude I despise.

Seriously, not every Pokemon needs to be some bad*** wolf or dragon or lynx or whatever. There is very little creativity in that, and one reason I love Pokemon so much is because it doesn't fall into that trap. It's probably tempting to make Pokemon based on charismatic megafauna (or carnivorous mammals in general, for that matter) and mythical creatures, because everyone loves those creatures. However, doing that severely dilutes creativity, because you're ignoring pretty much everything else out there, even if everything else is less popular.

Granted, I'm not the biggest fan of Vanillite and its evolutions in the world, but I'll take them over a bunch of generic wolves any day.

Ice cream is a pretty good idea for an ice type in my opinion, I'm kinda surprised it took this long to make one.

Seriously, not every Pokemon needs to be some bad*** wolf or dragon or lynx or whatever. I feel exactly the same way. I do like some of the "generic wolf" Pokemon but I respect GF for going outside to box to make pokemon like Vannilite.
