If you really want to get technical about the mythological basis for these Pokemon, consider this: In Greco-Roman mythology, the Hydra and Cerberus were brother and sister, and their mother was a beast known as Echidna.

I do know or at least I should after having written a quadrology of Greek mythology/Japanese folklore based fantasy books. But what's your point? Maybe that we might get more dark types based on the creepy sh*t out of Greek myth? I'm all for that!

Staryu. Like seriously. I want a new Staryu evolution. xD But, if not that, I'm always welcome for branched evolutions like Slowpoke, Kirlia, Snorunt. and Gloom. They're really cool to me. I've been thinking of a Jynx one for some time. If she would get an evolution now, then she'd be powerful, because Jynx's stats aren't bad at all. Well, Pokemon can lose stats when they even like Scyther and Scizor.

We've had a cyclops Pokemon (Duskclops). Maybe we'll have more rooted in myth. Centaur pokemon, anyone?

We did get many fighting types last gen., including the Muskateer Trio. However, I personally don't mind if they give us as many fighting-types as last gen. I'm hoping for more of a variety in the Fighting-type department, like a mixed attacker to benefit it from strong Sp. Attack oriented poke's such as Starmie and Alakazam.

At least an evolution of Medicham would be nice. That pokemon has so much potential.

I think there will be much more Dark and Ghost pokemon than in the other gen, maybe some Steel too. Pure speculation.

Nope. A split evo in general. I haven't delved into that yet, but I'm more focused on there being an evo for Medicham. Besides, Medicham could either be Male or Female (50/50 chance), so there isn't a "male side" or "female side" I'm talking about here.

It's easy to understand why we have so many of certain types, but I do kind of wish we get more Fire, Ghost and Dark Pokémon. I want them to lay off the large amount of Water, Bug, Fighting and Normal types this generation.

Well, personally, I just hope that there will be new evolutions, whatever which ''old'' pokemon it is.
