I guess the question there, then, is if GF would make decisions in the games for the sake of supporting the TCG.

Didn't they abandon that setup when the Black & White sets first came out?

To be fair it took them 3 gens to realise Tangela, Electabuzz and Magmar needed to evolve.

I'm hoping for a Pokemon based on the Mimic Octopus. Intresting animal, and we already have the move mimic. Maybe it'll be a competitive Ditto? I'd like it to be Water/???, with its second type and a sig move based on the main type of an opponent it beat.

Yea the mimic octopus would be such a cool pokemon. Say its water/??? and has one signature move. Normally the move is water but when it defeats a pokemon it changes to the first type of the defeated pokemon. Of course pokemon like this would have to learn other moves to keep it usable. Who wants a grass / dragon this gen?

This is my dream. Well, I am not all that fond of dragon types in general but being a grass loyalist I'd love to see a powerful grass type that introduces this awesome type to more gamers.

Leafy sea dragon? Why not just make a dragon-who-protects-the-forest dragon?

That would make more sense than a 'sea' dragon lol. You could make it look like some of those Chinese Dragons (like Shenron) where its antler horn things are tree branches and there's poisonous bulbs along its body.

Celebi was a forest protector (though not a dragon). If the trailer is anything to go by I'd say there is a pretty good chance that Xerneas will end up being a forest protector in X and Y.

Well, he could always use an assistant... or minions.

I mean,it could also be a dragon that lives in a particular forest. For example? Zoroark that lives in Lostlorn, Pikachu in Viridan.. .etc.

It could also be Altaria size?

    Because it's such a cliche...

A pkmn based on the leafy sea dragon could live underwater and be Dragon/Grass...and it could also use Water type moves,as well as Grass and Dragon moves, among others. It would be unique and interesting.

I imagine it having a low speed stat, but high defenses and SpAtk

Many of the Dragon type Pokemon are already capable of learning Water type moves, so there's nothing particularly outstanding about a Grass/Dragon leafy sea dragon being able to do that. A forest based Grass/Dragon is what comes to my mind immediately even if it may sound cliche, since it's a simple idea that can be executed easily. I don't mind a Grass/Dragon leafy sea dragon, but it would be another one of those Pokemon ideas that can fit into too many types. Besides, why can't it be Grass/Water instead? The combination is rare, free of x4 weakness, and competitively more viable given a decent stats spread and/or ability.

Because it has seaweed growing from its ***,that's why.And not that many dragons can learn water type attacks. The ones that do are the Dratini line,Salamence and Hydreigon. But by water moves I don't mean Surf and Waterfall.Aqua Jet,Water Spout,Scald,Dive,Hydro Pump...all of these would be awesome.

Lati@s, garchomp, hydreigon, haxorus, palkia, kingdra, druddigon and dragonite can all learn surf. Imo a forest dragon would be a much more logical and a better choice than a grass sea dragon.

        Spoiler:- Other stuff:
