Yo, fellow Poke' lovers! My favorite is Feraligatr, but I love most pokemon. I've lots of pokemon hatched/caught, are willing to trade some.
If on the GTS you recieved a lv 100 mightyena named Xigbar that had crunch, shadow ball, dig and hyper beam-I traded him without knowing how the GTS works-are willing to trade nearly anything I have for it back.
"Well maybe pokemon need friends too, sure they're in competition but they need to be loved as well. It's okay to have more than one kind of pokemon like Tyranitar, if you love it enough you can have another because the new one can never take the sentimental value of the orignal, but can make new memories to add to the good times"

Anyone else like the idea of a "Poke-farm" in game? Think of it like a more interactive day-care. Where you can house up to a number of Pokemon at once and train them without having to battle with them. Also they could have specific items where you can specifically train your Pokemon to gain certain Effort Vales(EV's). I hope X/Y introduces something along the lines of this.
I wish they would bring the contests back from Hoenn. And ability to customize the character would be awesome too.![]()

What i'll love to see is that gym leaders aren't based off monotypes but rather different pokes with absolutely no relation at all. Like blue in heartgold and soulsilver. That way you can't rely on pure type advantage but actual skill.

I've always liked the idea of Gym Leaders with different kinds of themes, actually, some aesthetic.
Examples:
-Weather-Based Leaders (Sandstorm leader with Rock, Ground and Steel, Rain Dance leader with Electrics and Water)
-Species-Based Leaders (Snake Gym, Dog Gym, Cat Gym)
-Dex and Lore-Based Leaders (Pokemon That Produce Food, Fossil Gym, Cave Gym)
-Mechanic-Based Leaders (Double-Battle With Pokemon That Support Each Other, Baton-Pass Gym)
-Misc. Aesthetics Leaders (Only Heavy Pokemon, Only Small Pokemon, Only Pokemon With More Than Two Eyes)
I also think that, in Gym Leader Battles, you should only be allowed to use as many Pokemon as the Gym Leader themselves. For example, in Pokemon Yellow, the Lt. Surge battle should only be a one-on-one, or in any Gen 1 game, Brock's battle should be two-on-two, etc.

Ability to go to other regions. This would be by far the best game ever if they added this feature.
that is a loved feature but the reason why you could go inbetween kanto and johto is because they were next to each other on japan's map
(in case you aren't familiar all regions are real places)
and this region is based on france and we don't have a french inspired region
I don't think they will ever take away gym leaders using specific types. We're now onto the 6th generation and that hasn't changed, so it probably never will.
Blue being an exception, the champion will be the only one with mixed types.
I do agree on only using the amount of pokemon the gym leader has too.
Some good ideas in here on the Gym front. I will admit that GF have done a good job and negating the weakness of leaders prioritising one type by giving them more strategies, especially with moves that help against their common weaknesses.
I mused over the idea of a region with a total of 12 leaders, but you only need to defeat 8 to enter the league proper; all 12 would give some kind of bonus though. My idea was not forcing you to fight each leader in turn, but to encourage you to explore the region in almost its entirety to train up your Pokémon and making the leaders all fairly similar levels (rather like Kanto in G/S/C/HG/SS). I also wanted to theme the leaders more, maybe even restrict the Pokémon that a challenger could use so you couldn't just sweep with a common weakness. The Gym's would be a genuine challenge this way and you'd be encouraged to raise many different Pokémon in order to defeat them all.

I hope you guys know that since Pokemon is going to be working on a new platform and these first X and Y games are going to have imperfections
Pokemon is a game, make it fun. Don't pic on the noobs, we all were one at some point.
But Ruby and Sapphire were the first Pokemon games on the GBA and, in my opinion, are the best games in the entire franchise!
That being said, of course X and Y aren't going to hit all the notes perfectly. Luckily, they have the advantage of being the first on a new system, so people will be more ignorant of, and later more willing to forgive, the things they misstep.

The only games that I felt truly suffered due to being on a new system were Diamond and Pearl, and that might have been down to the changed mechanics more than anything. I think that Physical/Special split took a bit of ironing out that later games helped with. The lack of decent fire types really didn't help either. Platinum did fix many issues though.
