Pokemon X & Y: Worldwide Release

Due to it being released worldwide at the same time, doesn't that mean that the games are finished or almost finished and are going through localization??

Right now, for an October release? No. That's eight months away. A game releasing in October doesn't have to go gold until August or September.

Yea, you must be lucky. I usually get it a week after the street date. Maybe I should go out and actually buy it at a store this time, but I'm old and even though it doesn't really bother me, I just don't want to get the "what the eff?" looks.

Well...I'm 21 and I buy pokemon games in public...it's not really considered weird where I'm from though :|. It might be when I get up in the 30ish range, but I really don't think I'll be playing then...

i can see myself playing pokemon until 35 then its... really arent you a little old for that game.but anyway i got friends that work at gamestop so i can get the game the day before or maybe around 10:00.

I'm in high school but my area considers it mostly weird at my age. There are a few hand full of people that love Pokemon here though and ditto seems to be a fan favorite. I go and buy Pokemon games as well as get events in public eagerly because I find them to be great games. I only have Nintendo systems due to money restraints (and them seeming like the overall best pick) while everyone else here is crazy about their Xbox and Call of Duty. I really don't care and I honestly think I won't until the series possibly ends. I believe in doing what you like, even if it seems a bit childish to everyone else.

Well I pre ordered mine with express delivery, so I'll be getting it a day after release, the morning after to be precise
And I really cannot wait!!

I think I'll bring up to my mom about pre-ordering it for my birthday when I go out to get Wreck-It Ralph followed by Meloetta to complete my Pokedex. My birthday's in November so Black 2 was an early present for me last year as X will likely be this year. I also hope GameStop has something for pre-orders this time around, I miss all the awesome things we got in Gen IV, I still even have my HG Ho-Oh figure.

I lost my Palkia stylus and they aren't in the beginning process. If anything they're towards the end. Black and White were worked on for around 4 years I believe, so this game is really far from being on the beginning process.

Pretty sure that the game is already on the beta test phase where they are looking for game bugs and glitches, and some graphic adjustments.

Major titles like these take years to develop, not months.

Whoever gets to play the beta test are a bunch of lucky dogs in my opinion. Sure they don't play the game like us fans do, but they still get to experience it early on. Then again, this could just be me wishing for October to come just to play this game.

It's just you. Beta testing is a process more tedious than most of us would be able to handle. I wager to say that if you actually had to beta test a game, you might even be less likely to actually play it for real, just because you'd be so sick of it by the end of the process.

I really don't care when it's released so long it's completely finished by the time they do release it. I say let them take their time to make sure it works properly and there are as few bugs as possible. After all this is the first 3D Pokemon game and there are a lot of things they need to take care of to make sure the game is as good as it can be.

Media releases on different days of the week in different territories. Nintendo favors Sundays for most of their major releases in North America, dictating it won't be the 1st or the 13th, regardless of what one's... "vibes"... might tell them.

If neither of you are in North America, adjust "Sundays" to whatever day of the week it is in your territory and replay the previous sentence. I believe that day is Friday in most of Europe.
